First 5 Forever Ambassador Ashleigh Barty AO joined us on Friday in Cairns for a very special Grandparents Storytime. Through our partnership with over 325 public libraries and Indigenous Knowledge Centres across Queensland, First 5 Forever empowers families to help children thrive.    First 5 Forever creates opportunities for families and caregivers to build children’s brains and bodies through free, fun, playful experiences at their local library.   Talking, reading, singing and playing with children throughout the first five years provides a strong foundation for children’s development and wellbeing now, and for their whole life.   While brain development continues through life, and positive changes can be made at any age, the early years give us the best opportunity to create healthy foundations.   When everyone works together for the early years, all Queenslanders benefit.   A big thanks to the amazing Cairns Libraries team and all the fabulous families who came along to talk, read, sing and play with Ash.
