Buyers Simon, Tabs and George just wrapped up an amazing visit to FreshGro Australia's new 150-acre farm in the beautiful Lockyer Valley 🌱 This farm's got the freshest, highest-quality leafy greens around—think Spinach, Wild Roquette, Mizuna, and Mesclun. With farms in both Queensland and Tasmania, Freshgro keeps the goodness coming year-round. It was fantastic to see how the crops are progressing as we head into summer and to get a glimpse of what next year's supply will look like. Freshgro Director Bryce Henderson even showed us how he can irrigate the farm from anywhere in the world through his phone📱 Talk about efficiency! #leafygreens #lockyervalley #farmtrip

Spring Garden Update! Over the last few months, we've been harvesting a lovely range of crops from the rooftop and ground-floor gardens. Some of our favourites have been: 🌿 Native Raspberries 🌿 Lemon Balm (we've been growing this for Ben Williamson at Agnes Restaurant, which they use to make an infused oil, yum!) 🌿 Calendula 🌿 Gai Lan Flowers (chefs are loving this as a garnish) 🌿 Phlox Flowers 🌿 White Borage We've also had Nick, a Year 10 student on placement from Corinda State High School, with us for the last 8 weeks. He has been learning all about the range of crops in the garden, how we manage soil health and pests, and how we harvest the vast range of crops. So far, his favourite is digging out the native ginger rhizomes from the ground floor garden! #gardenharvest #rooftopgarden #growyourown #sustainability

Farm visits on a sunny day are our favourite ☀️ Yesterday, Buyers Tabitha Thomson and Simon Delia headed out to Timmaz Farm with Mark Zammit, his wife Lorraine and son Noah to check out some hydroponic lettuce. We're talking the freshest, biggest and best fancy lettuces we've seen! Mark also showed the team his zucchini crops, which are two weeks from harvest.
