August 9 - International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples. Day to raise awareness and protect the rights of the world's indigenous population. For the ones who know my life journey, I usually spend this day presenting in a conference, seminar or delivering workshops. This year, I felt tired - not hopeless - but tired of intolerance and lack of acceptance of culturally different others. I decided to take the day to remembering and mourning all my friends, colleagues and also unknown valuable warriors who were killed for trying to raise empathy, respect and inclusion for different peoples and cultures, defending the Indigenous (human!) rights and building peace. A day in the memory of them. At Mundarie, Yinhawangka Country, Western Australia.
