We’ve been posting a bit about what we’re up to so we wanted to take the opportunity to circle back to our WHY. According to the World Health Organisation about 60-80 million couples worldwide have infertility. Infertility is a huge part of our founding story and the experiences of our founders have heavily influenced our device. We are passionate about helping those experiencing infertility and developing a wearable device that delivers reliable insights on women’s fertility. If you’d like to know more about what we’re up to, please get in touch! #innovation #startup #medtech #wearables #wearabledevices #wearabletechnology #digitalhealth #medicaltechnology #infertilitysupport https://lnkd.in/gDe4zy_h

We’re incredibly proud to be based in a country that is taking a seriously supportive approach to digital health and medical technology! This article by ANDHealth details the strides the Government are taking to back Medical Science. As announced previously, we have been fortunate to be awarded a research and development grant to propel us forward and are confident this investment in both us, and the broader industry, is going to well and truly put Australia on the Med Tech Map! #digitalhealth #medicaltechnology #medtech #startup #innovation #medicalstartup #wearables #wearabledevices #wearabletech
Today the Albanese Government released a Medical Science Co-investment Plan as part of delivering a future made in Australia and creating more secure, well-paid jobs. This new plan sets out how government and industry can work together to grow opportunities in medical manufacturing, building on our world-leading medical research capabilities and strong healthcare system. We welcome digital health being identified as a high-potential area for investment, with the report highlighting that the sector has increasing market demand and investor interest, both in Australia and globally. Digital health opportunities include: 🤖 Use of artificial intelligence, machine learning and other advanced technologies 🖥 Advanced software solutions 🕵️ Cyber security and health data collection solutions The plan also lays out ways to build on Australia’s existing advantages in clinical trial capabilities and world-leading therapeutic expertise in oncology, immunology, neurology and cardiovascular disease. “Great ideas can help create great products and great jobs. But too many great Australian ideas have left our shores only to return as an import from another country,” said The Hon Ed Husic MP, Minister for Industry and Science The Hon Mark Butler, Minister for Health and Aged Care said, “Australia has some of the best medical researchers in the world. We need to be utilising their talent and grow a medical manufacturing industry that will be world leading.” “Given the enormous potential digital and connected medical technologies offer for Australian patients, we are pleased that the Australian Government has prioritised digital health through this landmark investment program,” said Bronwyn Le Grice, CEO of ANDHealth. A recent article by techUK discussing the top trends for medical design and technology 2024 described wearable medical technology devices as bridging the “gaps of cost pressures, labor shortages, and funding challenges” let alone giving patients more control and insight into their health. This combination of things is certainly what we see as pivotal for the health industry in the coming years. An industry which we aim to support by developing an innovative biosensor that provides women going through IVF with greater, more reliable insights into their fertility. If you’d like to read more about their predicted trends you can find a link to the article here: https://lnkd.in/d-ySU6yH #werabledevices #wearabletech #digitalhealth #medtech #medicaltechnology #fertilitysupport #fertilitytech #femtech #wearables #wearabletechnology
