Assassination attempts, rising tension in the Middle East, the rebounds that followed the pain of the yen carry trade and fears of deflation in China. The world, and markets, had a turbulent 3rd quarter but showed considerable resilience with most regional indices nearing all-time highs despite rising volatility.
