About us

Welcome to Taralinga Estate, the private olive grove of the Tarascio family. A family tradition established by our Nonno Turri in Vizzini, Sicily, today we are proud to carry on the legacy at our home on the Mornington Peninsula. Grown, harvested, cold-pressed and bottled at our property on the Mornington Peninsula – we press early harvest in our Italian made Pieralisi plant to produce the freshest, highest quality extra virgin olive oil possible. A vertically integrated system designed to lock important antioxidants in the olive oil, independent tests have revealed that Taralinga Estate oil has some of the highest levels of health giving polyphenol antioxidants. Both produced at our family olive grove, today we offer two varieties of EVOO. Our mono-cultivar, Robusto, is a full bodied Picual, favoured for its green tomato, almond & rocket aromas, and a clean, peppery finish. Our strongest flavour profile oil, Robusto is ideal for drizzling over a steak, dunking fresh sourdough, or adding that traditional flavour punch to your favourite pasta. A go-to for the olio lovers amongst us, there isn't a meal in our family without this on the table. Our blend, Fruttato, is a combination of cold-pressed Koroneiki, Frantoio, Hojiblanca and Picual olives. A crowd-pleasing flavour profile, Fruttato is our go-to for a sweet, fruity entrance and a slight peppery finish. A well-rounded extra virgin olive oil ideal all palettes and ages, we drizzle this over fish, fresh salads, and as a healthy substitute for butter.
