The Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is an independent membership organisation funded by business, working for business to positively lead the Tasmanian business community. The TCCI provides a range of services including: - networking and events - human resources support and advice including training, workplace relations and WHS - Export documentation - International trade advice (TradeStart network) - industry connections - membership solutions for businesses of all sizes. As a member of the Australian Chamber Alliance and the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the broader Chamber movement across Australia, TCCI provides valuable support to its members through a range of programs and services, and actively advocates their concerns as the ‘voice of business’ at all levels of government. The TCCI represents more than 1,500 businesses through its Tasmanian membership base. At the same time it reaches up to 20,000 businesses through regional chambers with the TCCI Chamber Alliance.   • Leadership Masterclass Workshop 3: Having Difficult Conversations in the Workplace Avoiding difficult conversations or providing constructive feedback can lead to workplace issues. This workshop will help supervisors, managers, and leaders develop the skills to handle these conversations with confidence and positive impact. Using insights from DISC and EQ profiles, you’ll learn why some conversations are more challenging and how to engage with individuals for maximum effect. We’ll cover key strategies to diffuse emotions and turn tough discussions into meaningful, productive exchanges. Key topics include understanding the communication process, using empathy to adapt your message, and distinguishing between feedback and information. We'll also explore common mistakes during difficult conversations, the steps for effective communication, and how to differentiate between bullying and performance management. By the end of the workshop, participants will have a clear understanding of different communication styles, be more confident in addressing workplace issues, and have a structured approach to holding discussions.
