The ultimate Australian gift, fit for a king. 👑 King Charles was presented with two iconic hats from Tattarang portfolio company Akubra by Australians of the Year Professor Richard Scolyer AO and Professor Georgina Long AO, during his visit to Melanoma Institute Australia. It’s also an important message about being sun smart from Professor Scolyer and Professor Long, who were recognised for their ground-breaking melanoma research that has saved thousands of lives.

"This is an endurance race, not a sprint, and we can't get it wrong as the cost of doing nothing is too great. You don't set out on an endurance race and give up when it gets tough." Squadron Energy CEO Rob Wheals outlined our portfolio company's unwavering commitment to decarbonising Australia at the The Australian Financial Review Energy and Climate Summit. The Australian grid is already at 40% renewables, and we're just getting started on the build out. But Rob is also warning that the entire renewables sector needs to lift its game in working with and supporting the communities where projects are being built. Akubra celebrates a significant milestone: 50 years of handcrafting iconic hats in South St. Kempsey. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and this one beautifully captures the skilled artisans who meticulously create Australia’s most legendary headwear. We honour our past, show gratitude to our present, and eagerly look forward to the future ahead. Thank you to all the Australian legends who make our legendary hats! #Australia #Akubra #Kempsey #Australianmade

More than 90 years ago a young R.M.Williams met a traveling Indigenous stockman Michael George Smith aka ‘Dollar Mick’ who shared his knowledge of leatherwork. The iconic R.M.Williams boot was born. “My success began the night Dollar came in his mule buggy and asked to stay,” RM said in his autobiography. Today R.M.Williams and Tattarang are proud to be continuing successful partnerships with First Nations Australians and the story of Dollar Mick, along with modern day R.M.Williams First Nations workers, are featured in The Indigenous Business Review. "We remain wholeheartedly committed to championing and celebrating the contributions of all First Nations people, both inside our organisation and in our wider community," says R.M.Williams CEO Paul Grosmann. The magazine is out today inside The Australian, The West Australian and in all Qantas Lounges. Thank you to David Prestipino, Zak Kirkup and Reece Harley for bringing Indigenous stories of success to life.
