Main responsibilities include: * Contributing to the marketing and social media strategy for the event, including content creation, planning and audience engagement. * Creating and scheduling engaging social media posts across platforms. * Updating event-related content on the website. * Assisting with email newsletters and digital promotions. 🍎 Supported by Apple: Technion Students Develop Innovative Image Enhancement Chip Twin brothers Amiel and Eitan Gorbonos have developed a groundbreaking chip for image enhancement at the Technion-The Faculty of ECE (The Andrew & Erna Viterbi Faculty of Electrical & Computer Engineering), with support from Apple. Supervised by lab engineer Goel Samuel, this project is part of Apple's initiative to fund student projects in the VLSI lab, offering hands-on experience from concept to chip production. Dalia Haim, a director in the silicon group at Apple Israel, emphasizes Apple's aim to inspire students in the hardware field and nurture the next generation of chip engineers. Students receive personal guidance from Apple engineers and funding for chip production. The chips are then returned to the Technion for testing, simulating real-world industry conditions. The new chip, designed to filter image noise, marks a milestone as the first product in the VLSI lab produced using the TSMC65 process for nanometric chips. Read more at: https://lnkd.in/gkWcvSWY

🥇 🥈 Advancing Sports in Israel Windsurfers Tom Reuveny and Sharon Kantor made history by winning gold (Reuveny) and silver (Kantor) medals at the Paris Olympics—two of the seven medals won by Israel in the Games. Competing in the iQFOiL category, a windsurf board which made its Olympic debut, their success is a testament to their dedication and the professional support they’ve received. 🏄♀️ 🏄♂️ In recent years, Reuveny and Kantor have benefited from the expertise of Dr. Arielle Fischer, a faculty member at the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering, Technion. As part of a collaboration between the Technion and the Olympic Committee of Israel, Dr. Fischer's team conducted a biomechanical analysis of the athletes' movements during training. This research led to the development of a tool that helps coaches and technical directors understand the relationship between windsurfing techniques and board properties, ultimately improving performance. 🤸♀️ 🤸♂️ We also celebrate the achievements of Israel’s rhythmic gymnastics team, who earned a silver medal, and recognize the work of Dr. Fischer's Bio-Motion and Wearable Devices Lab at the Technion. The lab’s recent study on the biomechanics of rhythmic gymnasts, presented by former Olympic gymnast and current Technion student Natalie Mendelson, has garnered international attention. This pioneering research, focused on preventing injuries and optimizing training, reflects the deep integration of science and sports in Israel. 🏆 Essential Support: Technion Industrial Design Graduate Wins Prestigious Design Award for Designing a Post-Mastectomy 3D-Printed Bra Maayan Kinsbursky , a graduate of the advanced degree program in industrial design at the Technion, has won the international Red Dot Design Award for her master's project. The award ceremony will take place in Singapore on October 10, and the project will subsequently be exhibited at the Red Dot Design Museum, also in Singapore. The project was supervised by Assistant Professor Yoav Sterman, former innovation manager at Nike, and a current faculty member in the and a current faculty member in the industrial design program headed by Prof. Ezri Tarazi, in the Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning at Technion. Kinsbursky's project, U·Bra, is an innovative bra designed for women who have undergone a mastectomy and cannot have reconstruction surgery. These women often opt for a silicone prosthesis inserted into a special bra, which can cause excessive sweating, rashes, pressure, and shoulder pain. Additionally, the prosthesis can create an asymmetrical appearance and may cause discomfort and embarrassment due to the fear of it shifting or falling out.
