New and upgraded communications technology installed in Ramingining! Thanks to NTG’s Community Benefit Fund, ALPA installed new digital communications infrastructure in community. These upgrades will support important community group programs, services, and businesses with reliable and resilient communications services. Improvements will benefit the local store, CDP Jobseeker and activity programs, the Dinybulu Lodge and Workshop as well as the soon to open Community Freight and Logistics Hub. With these upgrades, Ramingining will benefit from faster and more reliable internet and communications abilities, making it easier to stay connected and support the effective operations of key local services, programs and businesses. Here’s Martha and Peter showing off the new technology! #alpa #arnhemland #outcomes #communication Northern Territory Government The Arnhem Land Progress Aboriginal Corporation (ALPA)

Our ALPA teams have been busy celebrating NAIDOC week with a range of different activities over the past couple of weeks. From jumping castles to arts and crafts exhibition tours and the NT NAIDOC ball, our community members decided how they wanted to celebrate this year's NAIDOC theme 'Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud & Proud'. ALPA would like to thank the National Indigenous Australians Agency for supporting our activities as well as all the teams that helped create a joyous and shared experience. #BlakLoudProud #NAIDOCWeek #NTNAIDOC #KeepTheFireBurning #NationalIndigenousAgency #IndigenousAustralia #CelebratingDiversity#ALPA

CDP Galiwinku Team Building! The Galiwinku Lawn Mowing program. Funded by the National Indigenous Australians Agency, the team recently constructed a new fire pit and communal area. The team are now regularly gathering around the area before heading out to work for the day because this new space allows the men to cook food in a more traditional manner. With the addition of seats, it has become a popular gathering area helping the team overcome barriers such as disconnection, and communication, the teams morale has lifted incredibly since installing the fire pit.
