POLISH FILM FESTIVAL I PERTH & SYDNEY returns to The Backlot Perth on Wed Oct 30 at 6.45pm with the incredible Next to Nothing. A group of farmers organises a protest outside the home of an MP who, contrary to previous promises, voted against their interests. At the same time, the body of a local farmer is found dumped outside the house of the protest leader. Suddenly, he becomes the prime suspect, even though the deceased was his closest friend. Determined to uncover the truth, he launches his own investigation, uncovering the true cause of his friend’s death and reassessing the loyalty and values of those around him. This award-winning feature-length directorial debut at its core tells the universal story of a man fighting for dignity and seeking justice while staying true to himself and his principles. “Such successful debuts don’t happen often. “Next to nothing” is pure cinema at its finest.” — Onet.
