    This week the CLC turns One! And on this occasion I want to thank you - LinkedIn community - for all your support over the last 12 months 👏 . I remember spending days and days writing my first little announcement about The CLC this time last year...struggling over every word and worried nobody would see it, or like it 😨...and to my delight nearly 20,000 people have seen it so far 😍 and the impressions still continue to grow every week ☘. After that, I committed to sharing at least one useful tip or insight every week (except school holidays), with this community and (again) to my delight, you have all supported me and my business in abundance. So I'm very grateful to you all. Starting a new business is so rewarding, so hard, often lonely and always challenging but it's been a great first year and I haven't looked back! So off I go, running towards the next year 🏃♀️. Thank you everyone - I'm excited to keep growing, learning and connecting with you all.     ⚡ Leaders, did you know that that your mood can significantly impact the team, including performance outcomes? I'm a big fan of Larry Senn's work including the Mood Elevator. Larry shows that the impact of a leader's positive mood 😊 - things like flexibility, optimism and gratefulness - flows directly to the team, supporting effectiveness and performance. Conversely, a leader's impatience, defensiveness and stress 😫 results in negative impacts for the team (and on #psychologicalsafety in particular). We're all human and we all experience good days and bad. So next time you find yourself in a bad mood try this: 1. Check in with yourself 😣 2. Notice your mood 😮 3. Reflect on why 🤔 4.     ⚡ Like many, I've worked in toxic cultures before. And well before we had the words to describe it👇 ❓ How did I know it was toxic? Well I actually didn't - all I knew is that what was happening around me, and the impact it had on me, the team and our work was significant. It wasn't healthy and it felt terrible 😫. These days there is so much more information and support out there about toxic culture. What it looks like, what it feels like and importantly what you can do about it.
