Here's one for the netball fans! When you next have five minutes to spare, take a look at this interview with Anasimeci Rakavosa, a one-time Fiji Pearl and now Sports Development Coordinator at Netball Fiji. Anasimeci is an undisputed legend of the sport, and as hardcore as they come. She's just one of the many stars of Pacific sport that we've been lucky to have a hand in celebrating throughout 2024, as part of our work with the Australian Government's PacificAus Sports initiative. https://lnkd.in/eJ7ma_Km

The Friday Collective were thrilled to have partnered with FDC Construction & Fitout on their 2025 Cadet Program. With over 30 years of experience, FDC isn’t just a leader in construction and building services—it's also a people-first organisation, committed to nurturing the next generation of talent in the industry. At The Friday Collective, we helped FDC generate hundreds of qualified leads from a highly targeted audience through LinkedIn and Meta lead generation. This included successfully reaching and engaging women, who are often hard to attract to the industry, to ensure the cadetship program creates real opportunities for diverse and passionate future leaders in construction, engineering, and architecture. #LinkedIn #Meta #LeadGeneration

In recent weeks, we've completed our contributions to a project that has been in the works since 2022 - and rightly so. The ultimate goal was a revision of the guidelines that ensure our health system takes a responsible approach to the collection of clinical data, and uses that data to drive improvements in the safety and quality of care — called the Australian Framework for National Clinical Quality Registries. The venerable Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care steered the project, working thoughtfully and diligently with a diversity of experts to get the right results. From our perspective, the project spanned the full range of our services: facilitating surveys and workshops during the consultation period, pooling insights, developing and editing content, engaging with a wide range of stakeholder groups, managing their feedback, and designing the document set. Along the way, we learned A LOT about the underpinnings of our health system, and the passionate people who protect and support it. As with all our project work for the Commission, it was a privilege to be on board. You can see all the finished products here: https://lnkd.in/e_H7sUkC

Public reporting of safety and quality data shines a light on what is being done well in our hospitals, and what could be done better We are beyond excited to announce that a new public database providing easy access to information about the safety and quality of care in Australian hospitals has been launched by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care. We had the pleasure of collaborating with Giang Ong on the design and UI of the tool and the team at Qlik on the build. Everyone is now able to view the safety and quality record of their local hospital and see how it compares to national benchmarks! Check out the tool at https://lnkd.in/g5UnAZme

It has been a privilege for us to work alongside the extraordinary HowWeSurvive team for almost two years now, and to be part of the launch of this powerful new initiative. The launch event was an opportunity to hear different perspectives on how communities affected by disaster can be supported to recover on their own terms, with dignity, and without delay. The message underpinning all those perspectives: when communities are heard, recovery works. Hear directly from community members at HowWeSurvive.com. #CommunityResilience #Disasters #DisasterRecovery #HowWeSurvive

The Friday Collective is proud to have collaborated with Bond University to bring the inaugural Future Forum to life. This wasn't just another 'Open Day'—it was a dynamic and thought-provoking experience for students, providing them with opportunities to hear from visionary speakers, explore the future of their industries, and take part in some weighty discussions, befitting their role as future leaders. One of the highlights? A truly unique dining experience paired with conversation starters that gave students the chance to think deeply and forge connections with peers and industry leaders including Usman Khawaja, Melanie Hayden and Samantha Strauss. Thank you to everyone who made this event a success! Kyle Jonsson, Cheryl Jolliffe, Shannon Tricklebank, Jit Loh, Rachel Hannah, Matthew Webber, Austin Macfarlane, Shelley Martain, Sarah Gammie, Jenna Elvin, Fereti (Freddy) Masoe We’re excited to see how these stars of tomorrow will shape their world. #BondUniversity #FutureForum #TheFridayCollective

The Friday Collective is thrilled to support this incredible initiative aimed at reshaping the narrative surrounding disaster recovery, both in understanding and action.
After some years of planning, it's finally taking shape! With long term independent funding in place thanks to the Judith Neilson Foundation HowWeSurvive aims to change the narrative in how community centred disaster recovery is understood and enacted. Starting in Australia, we'll achieve this by always working with and supporting others, celebrating successes and challenging poor practice. 'We' refers to our amazing new team, Kate Brady, Tim Heffernan Ph.D., Lisa Ewenson, PhD. and Natalie Diane. And, thanks to The Friday Collective for their great web designing. We're excited about what can be achieved!
