I've just watched the movie NYAD and it blew my mind. A 64 year old woman accomplishing a feat never before attained by younger, arguably fitter athletes of any gender. Diana Nyad committed to achieving her life-long dream: a 110-mile open ocean swim from Cuba to Florida. It's a remarkable story that demonstrates a few key takeaways: 1. Never give up on your dreams 2. Age is irrelevant when your mindset is strong and your purpose is clear 3. Even seemingly individual achievements (like being a solo swimmer) are never attained alone - Nyad had around 40 people on 3 boats supporting her in achieving her dream. Ask yourself - are you happy settling for mediocrity or do you want something more, something bigger with deeper meaning? What is holding you back from reaching for it?

"Office With A View" Working from anywhere on earth has taken me to some extraordinary locations. Perched high above the charming fishing village of Vernazza, Cinque Terra in Italy, this is my outlook today. Punctuated by the soothing sounds of church bells, I am working my business super part time while travelling and always supporting other entrepreneurs on their self growth journey. It is a far cry on every level from my corporate cubicle and the frustrated sense of containment I felt in my former life as a high level senior executive! I am grateful to be in this space, enjoying this freedom and sharing this choice of work life balance with others. I am here because I found my courage and made the changes in my life that led me here.

People often ask me "What does it take to be a successful business owner?" My answer - Discipline. There are days when you may not feel like showing up for your business. When you're tired and flat. When you'd rather watch Netflix all day! And yet even one day of not working in a disciplined fashion, leads to two...and this pattern can very easily lead to forever. Being self employed is not for everyone. It takes consistency, dedication and a daily "check in" with your vision. If ever you feel yourself falter, being crystal clear on your vision, committing and recommitting to your raison d'etre, will lift you back up to work steadily towards fulfilling your potential. So too will an uplifting and inspiring community of like minded others - I'm very fortunate to have this!
