Ask any business owner or leader about one of the most challenging areas of running a successful business and they’ll tell you it’s managing PEOPLE. Doing what I love most - rolling up my sleeves and helping leaders understand themselves like never before, so they can lead their teams, like never before.
I help leaders recognise their strengths and develop their leadership potential so they can confidently inspire greatness and success in their team. Coach, Trainer, Workshop Facilitator, Speaker for positive change
Thank you Margaret River Business Network for inviting me to host two workshops this month to support local business members. "Goal Setting Done Differently" and "Leadership Done Differently" were both sold out, with waiting lists. Why "Done Differently", you might ask? Several reasons: 1) Small group, highly interactive and hands on. These groups were maxed at 10 pax so everyone gets one-on-one help and support in the session. 2) I'm a coach - I roll up my sleeves and get involved in the training with you. No one-sided, boring 'death-by-powerpoint' here. When last did you see a successful team in training, achieving their goals, with their trainer sitting arms crossed, observing from a distance? 3) You'll learn new ways of thinking and doing in the session, implement the learnings right there and then and take away easy-to-use tools that you can implement straight away in your business. You've got this! 4) Workshops are fun! Really. Ask the adjoining offices at The Business Hub who wondered what all the noise, enthusiasm and laughter was about. 5) As a highly trained coach, facilitator and trainer, each participant is involved, feels heard, is encouraged to contribute and is valued. The key is facilitating group discussion and group learning where all learning styles are factored into the training and all learning paces are accommodated. 6) No one gets left behind. Everyone is involved in each other's progress and collectively we support each other to learn and grow as a result. 7) I don't wear suits. I don't have a briefcase. And I don't call myself a business advisor, consultant or any other boring title people adopt to justify the exhorbitant consulstancy price tag. 8) There is no exhorbitant consultancy price tag. Small and medium businesses and their teams need help and so that's my aim to help you where you need it most, with the budget you have. 9) Life's too short to struggle in business on your own. Work with a coach and get there faster. It's also far more fun, enjoyable and rewarding. 10) Einstein's definition of insanity is "Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result". DOING THINGS DIFFERENTLY gives you a DIFFERENT RESULT. I'd love to come into your business and help your teams think and do things differently. And learn skills that they can practically and actively use in their day-to-day. Feel free to get in touch to learn more. Here's to DOING THINGS DIFFERENTLY. And getting a DIFFERENT RESULT.

A helpful episode from the #nobsleadership about how to compartmentalise problems at work, so they don't take over your life. "We know that problem solving is a critical part of leadership life — we spend a lot of time on any given day solving our own problems, and helping our people to solve theirs." "There are problems and there are… PROBLEMS! It’s important to know how to leverage good problem solving techniques. But it’s equally important to manage your head space so that your biggest leadership problems don’t take over your whole life. "In this episode, I explore the concept of wicked problems. I give a detailed example of the most wicked problem I faced as a CEO, and I finish with an extensive range of advice for compartmentalizing, so that you can cope with whatever problems come your way." https://lnkd.in/g8FFs3DH #LeadershipTraining #SelfLeadership #leadershipdevelopment

Teams that #playtogetherstaytogether. It's a well-known adage that when we connect with our teammates on a basic human level by spending quality down-time together after a shift, this strengthens bonds and deepens connections. When we create the opportunity to celebrate our wins and are encouraged to show vulnerability and share the struggles, it opens the doors to open and honest communication and a shared sense of togetherness. Creating an environment where we're better equipped to manage the storm - whatever that looks like - as a team. And we know we've got each others' backs when we're under pressure. I'd love you to share - what are some of the ways you connect with your team to create an environment where everyone feels safe, heard and appreciated? And where shared laughter and mutual respect become the glue that holds the team together? #teamworkworks #leadershiptraining #inspiredleadership #inittogether

In celebrating Western Australia Day - WA Day - to commemorate the founding of the Swan River Colony in 1829, it can't go without acknowledgement of the passing of Dr John Gladstones AO and the impact he's made in establishig the Margaret River Wine Region. Dr Gladstones was a nationally and internationally recognised agronomist whose work has had a profound impact on Western Australian agriculture, our wine industry, in particular, and our community as a whole. As Vanya Cullen from Cullen Wines, Margaret River tributed: "Dr John Gladstones was a man of integrity and humility; a scientist and humanitarian to the core, curious about everything and always making enquiries about new ways. He gave so much to the Western Australian Wine Industry, never claiming anything other than to help and give and create the beginning of one of the world’s great wine growing regions…Margaret River.” Perhaps one the greatest tributes we might give Dr Gladstones as a region, is to model some of his leadership attributes: 🍇Have integrity - keep to your word and align in your thoughts, words and actions. 🍇Be a humanitarian - embrace human welfare and the welfare of your team and others, through kindness, support, understanding and empathy 🍇Be curious - seek to understand, before being understood. Relish the not-knowing and invite in learning and growth 🍇Be generous - give of your time, your attention, share your knowledge, teach, give value and uplift others. We gain more collectively from giving, than taking 🍇Create - be bold in your thinking, vision and imagination. Trust these yearnings and embrace the uncertainty and exhiliration that comes with taking the road not yet travelled. It can make all the difference. 🍇Collaborate - we may go faster alone, but we go further together. Share knowledge, encourage contribution, be open to learning from others and acknowledging their value. There's power in working together and leveraging and harnessing our invidivdual strengths, collectively Let's continue to live these attributes as leaders in our industry and continue the legacy of Dr John Gladstones. You'll be able to read more about Dr Gladstones contribution and tributes from other industry leaders in the link below: https://lnkd.in/gagWXFrD

Hi! Thanks for visiting! Thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Justine Rosen - The Winery Team Coach. A wine country local, based in the beautiful Margaret River wine region, in the South West corner of Western Australia. Born and bred in Cape Town, South Africa, I was drawn to Margaret River in 2005 to take part in my first grape harvest. Working in the vines and the connection to the land was something that has stayed with me to this day. It was in that moment that my love affair with the region began. Being so similar to the Western Cape in South Africa, I felt a comforting sense of familiarity and felt instantly at home. While I was to spend the next 10 years leading teams across Australia and on board Superyachts around the globe, the pull of Margaret River was strong. And so, in 2015, I moved here permanently and have been working in the wine industry in various leadership roles ever since. From Wills Domain Winery, to Leeuwin Estate, Cape Mentelle Winery to Voyager Estate, my experience is extensive and varied. What I've learnt in over 20+ years of leadership is that a BIG gap exists in skillset when a new leader is promoted or hired. Although they look great on paper with solid experience, or they've proven themselves doing a particular role are an obvious choice for promotion, there's this false assumption that they come fully equipped with all the leadership skills necessary to build and lead a team effectively. Which is both inaccurate. And hugely unfair. Recognising this gap, coupled with a deep desire to help fix it, I trained as an accredited coach, trainer and facilitator in 2020, specialising in positive psychology, neurolinguistic programming and behaviour profiling. Because I learnt that being a great leader isn't just about doing things that great leaders do. You can look that up on Google. It's about changing our individual thinking and mindset to understand the complexities of human behaviour and how we can learn to adapt who we are and how we're being in order to get the most out of ourselves and our teams. Blending 20+ years leadership experience, 10 years wine industry experience and 4+ years coaching, training and facilitation experience, The Winery Team Coach was born. Through bespoke training programs based on your leaders' and team's needs, The Winery Team Coach uses tried and trusted world-class coaching models, along with advanced training and facilitation techniques, to work with you to provide support where and when it's needed. On the ground, in person, or online, whichever suits your people's needs. And unlike regular training programs, our support continues long after the training has ended. So if you're a wine business owner, or a new or even experienced leader in the wine industry, feel free to reach out for a chat. I'd love to be able to give you the tools I wish I'd had, so you feel fully supported as you become the leader you were born to be.
