Bringing RUUM’s architectural excellence to life with a 40-page publication The brief was to communicate the company’s vision and the advantages of their architect-designed homes, despite the challenge of having no completed projects to showcase at the time. The content strategy centred on the use of high-quality renders and 3D visualisations, conveying not only the “what” and the “how” but also the “why” behind RUUM’s innovative approach to residential architecture. In addition to producing the publication, The Local Production orchestrated a strategic distribution campaign targeting key markets in Melbourne and Sydney. A targeted database was curated for distribution, which generated significant leads and fostered new partnerships. Publication Design by The Local Production.

Wondering why you see less and less posts from the accounts you follow? More than 50% of what you're seeing on Instagram is now AI recommended. Instagram's research has apparently shown that people are less happy with the app and use it less when they only have a 'Following' feed. So they've been taking more and more inspiration from TikTok, where users get algorithmically recommended content. Instagram analyses your activity — such as likes, comments and time spent — to predict and share the type of content it thinks will most resonate with you. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently said he thinks one day they might even get to a point where the platform can "just generate content directly for people based on what they might be interested in." What does this mean? Instagram are continuing to shift the focus away from follower counts, encouraging everyone to think of 'Views' as the primary metric across all formats including reels, live, photos, carousels and stories. To appear in more feeds, brands need to be creating content that is actually worth saving and sharing.

Visual storytelling for Made by Storey. The Local Production was tasked with showcasing their timber flooring, wall panelling and parquetry in a high-end architectural setting. We collaborated with leading architecture firm Workroom to spotlight the luxurious Berkeley Street Residence in a photoshoot. The result was 40 final images perfectly capturing the essence of the space and the quality of the products. These photos were utilised across the brand’s digital and social channels, as well as in various marketing campaigns, both in print and online. Photography by The Local Production.

Invite Only for Country Road. The Local Production partnered with Country Road Group Road to launch its co-design homewares range with Ngen’giwumirri artist Kieren Karritpul. We chose a location that embodied the values of both brands and complemented the aesthetic of the collection, while curating an exclusive invite list of key architects, designers and industry influencers. Throughout the planning process, we collaborated closely with the Country Road team, managing everything from logistics to content creation to ensure an unforgettable evening. Here we were, capturing the Zephyr collection for Tait in an architectural blessed, Victorian coastal home. Collaborating with our team of product photographers and stylists, we showcased the harmony between Tait’s furniture and the surrounding landscape, illustrating the collection’s suitability for outdoor living. The shoot resulted in a final set of 35 images that highlighted the products both in context and against the rugged backdrop, completing the campaign narrative. Photography by The Local Production.

Last week P Johnson said “suit up” so that’s exactly what we did. A group of Sydney’s creatives gathered in the famously luxurious space for a networking soirée hosted by P. Johnson and The Local Project. Guests were greeted by our Founder Aidan Anderson and Managing Editor David Meagher in the St James Trust Building before dining amongst the soaring ceilings, intricate original mouldings and arched windows of the former ballroom.
