This month, let’s unite to raise awareness about lung cancer—an often overlooked but critical cancer that impacts millions around the globe. 🔍 Lung Cancer Facts to Know:  - Leading Cause of Cancer Deaths: Lung cancer accounts for nearly 25% of all cancer deaths. Awareness is crucial in changing this statistic. - Early Detection Matters: When diagnosed early, the 5-year survival rate can be as high as 56%. Screening and awareness can save lives! - Risk Factors: While smoking is the most well-known risk factor, 20% of lung cancer patients have never smoked. Other factors include exposure to radon, asbestos, and air pollution. 💚 How You Can Make a Difference: 1. Share a Story: Personal experiences can inspire hope and resilience. If you or a loved one has faced lung cancer, your voice matters—share it!    2. Support Research: Consider donating to organizations that fund vital research and support for patients and families. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to share my journey overcoming OCD through my daily practice of Transcendental Meditation (TM), along with the support, love, and wisdom of my family and other mentors. 🙏 In this talk I describe my journey in overcoming obsessive-compulsive disorder, my passion for research on how developing consciousness can improve mental wellness, and my mission to help others overcome mental health challenges. I conclude with a summary of the development of LikeHearted 💗, an AI-driven holistic mental wellness peer-mentoring app that allows individuals seeking support to find and connect with other like-hearted people worldwide.
