"In response to the growing housing affordability crisis in Australia, Assemble’s campaign “Imagine less. Experience more” challenges the prevailing housing market norms. This new campaign platform aims to realise a fairer housing system by addressing the specific needs of future customers with targeted messaging and user-friendly tools. The Jury was impressed with how the campaign strategically confronts market absurdities and aligns with Assemble’s mission to innovate in housing affordability, showcasing a design strategy that effectively resonates with its audience." – Good Design Australia Awards Jury Learn more about our project here: https://lnkd.in/dYFdwi6m

We're hiring a Studio Experience Manager and a Senior Producer. Both roles are based in Naarm/Melbourne. https://lnkd.in/dPgauxrW We use design and technology to make change happen, at pace and at scale. We’ve designed and built Australia’s first online family violence intervention order, established a new approach to co-design for the Victorian mental health sector, built a peer-to-peer product that helps people learn Auslan, and launched a campaign to shift mainstream perceptions of climate change—plus many more. Our practice is built on strong foundations of human-centred design and digital making. There are 50 of us, working across strategy, research, design, content, delivery and a wonderful support team. You’ll experience a welcoming environment filled with smart, fun and caring people from a wide variety of backgrounds and disciplines, who are passionate about creativity, making change, and learning from each other. One in four young people have a family member living with mental health challenges. In these often informal carer roles they take on, it’s common for them to fly under the radar of traditional support systems. Through their programs, learning pathways, and creative projects, Satellite Foundation creates safe and brave spaces for children and young people in this position to reflect and connect through creative expression. Hayley Tasker spoke to Rose Cuff and Kelly L. to learn more about how creativity and storytelling can create systemic change. Read the full interview here https://lnkd.in/dvD7t5RJ

Mark Davis has shared five links with us in our latest newsletter https://lnkd.in/dyh5w5wE 1. Story points, what are they and why should we use them? This write-up shares some great guidance around using them well, in a way that supports the dev team but also project success. https://tday.ly/mark1 2. What does handing your life to an AI voice clone really mean? In Evan Ratliff’s new podcast Shell Game we find out. https://tday.ly/mark2 3. Solar Punk Farms is an experimental and educational event space, that brings the queer culture to farming. https://tday.ly/mark3 4. I love good gamification and this one hits the spot. Snorlax and friends are here to measure your sleep. https://tday.ly/mark4 5. The resource industry is in revolution mode, and it’s hopeful. Terraform Industries has converted electricity and air into synthetic natural gas for the first time. https://tday.ly/mark5

What are we waiting for? https://tday.ly/waiting *final tickets available* You can judge a service by how it makes people wait. Unfortunately, people are made to wait in spaces that can be uncomfortable and dehumanising. "We're hoping you can walk away from the event with a toolkit of ideas and practices so that you can consider waiting in a more nuanced way and deliver better services for the communities that you support." Hayley Tasker, Senior Strategic Designer at Today Let's reimagine waiting. Join us for an evening of inspiring talks and facilitated design activities exploring how we might reimagine waiting to be more inclusive, engaging and human. 📅 5.30pm Thursday 10 October 📍Today Yálla-birr-ang, Wurundjeri Country Level 8, 54 Wellington Street, Collingwood VIC 3066 ✔️ RSVP at https://tday.ly/waiting
