People. Power. Possibilities. Leading the transition to a clean energy future.
About us
Over decades of technical excellence, we’ve enabled the smooth operation of over 13,060km of high voltage transmission wires and 122 substations in NSW and the ACT, with connections to Victoria and Queensland. Our most crucial work is leading the transition to Australia’s clean energy future. The traditional coal system that served our country for decades is nearing the end of its life, to be replaced by wind and solar generation. We’re making the right decisions now to prepare for the opportunities and challenges ahead – a changing climate, population growth and technology innovation. As we lead the way towards a more resilient future, we’re working closely with our customers and communities to make sure no one is left behind. Wherever you are in NSW or the ACT, you can be confident in the reliable, affordable and sustainable electricity we transmit as we make a better power system for generations to come.

⚡👩💼We were proud to attend the inaugural Women in Energy & Renewables Summit 2024, where we examined the energy transition and the contributions of women in this sector. Yesterday, our General Manager of Land Property and Approvals, Suzanne Westgate, participated in a panel discussion emphasising the significance of social license in advancing the clean energy transition. Today, Renée Ingram, our General Manager of Emerging Projects, delivered a compelling keynote on the importance of strong leadership and resilient teams in achieving success during this historic #EnergyTransition. Her message was particularly uplifting for aspiring female leaders in the energy sector. She expressed her optimism by stating, “The future is bright for women in energy and renewables. Whether you're just starting or have years of experience, there is ample opportunity to adapt and make a significant impact." 👏We were inspired to hear from these industry-leading women working at the forefront of energy and shared our experiences to drive diversity for the sector. #WomenInEnergy #makingitpossible #renewables #cleanenergy Quest Events

🏗️Project EnergyConnect has reached another milestone with a major concrete pour for the foundations that will house one of two 120MVAr synchronous condensers. ⚡These condensers are vital for maintaining voltage stability in the transmission network and providing system resilience services to enable Australia's transition to renewable energy. This complex 15-hour operation involved two batch plants located at Dinawan substation, with crews pouring 800m³ of concrete—equivalent to 115 concrete trucks. Congratulations to our construction partner, Elecnor Australia, and their subcontractors for the success of this operation! 👉For more information about EnergyConnect visit: https://brnw.ch/21wMoFW Elecnor Australia #renewables #synchronouscondensers #cleanenergy #makingitpossible
