Media Brand Of The Year 2021 & 2023 | Commercial Team Of The Year 2023 | Brand Of The Year 2023

About us

Urban List is #1 for culture seekers in Asia Pacific: a compass for those who live like it matters, and want confidence in the buying and booking choices they make. Launched from a bedroom a decade ago, this indie media house has hit scale— serving 30,000 recommendations an hour across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, connecting a community of 3M+ with quality experiences to eat, buy, book, do and see. Their trusted tips power billions in annual spend — a proprietary formula that blends influence and tech to pair brands with an audience actively in market, ready to convert. 83% of the community have tried something recommended in the last month. And the industry is paying attention. Urban List was named Media Brand Of The Year in both 2021 and 2023, Commercial Team Of The Year 2023 and Brand Of The Year 2023 celebrating their impact on the media landscape and commitment to positive cultural impact — on people and the planet. Good life. Good company. Join in.

Wardrobe staples that can seamlessly take you from WFH to WFO to Happy Hour are our top picks this winter. Gone are the days of separate wardrobes for your workdays and weekends—now we can stride through the office in trainers and don an oversized blazer to the bar. To nail the corpcore looks we teamed up with Kmart Australia Limited. Link in comments to shop the looks. Shoutout to Parmiss Kiakojouri at Kmart and Teshaya Turner and Katelyn Robinson from Alpha Digital for making this partnership possible. Urban List project: Bonnie Ilett, Rojan Khastoui, Jessica Best, Tai Pham, Kylie O'Connell and Bridget O'Donohue. Urban List talent: Leilani Vakaahi, Madelaine Ainsworth and Georgie Bowyer

I'm super excited to be joining a panel discussion at the Awin Global Commission Factory Think Tank conference next month. I'll be chatting with Are Media Pty Ltd's Head of Affiliate Lauren Leisk and Skimlinks' Senior Merchant Development Manager Arthur Malkoun about all the challenges and opportunities in the world of affiliate content right now, on a panel hosted by Gavin Cozens. Commerce content is such a fast-growing, rapidly evolving space with so many new learnings in the mix, so I know this is going to be an excellent panel chat. According to our new Melbourne Editor, Navarone Farrell, the 'Good Life' is: croissants, chicken with chips and out-of-the-way travel destinations. Before joining Urban List he was a National Digital Editor at News Corp working across Body & Soul, Escape, Vogue and GQ.  His drink of choice is a classic Bordeaux and is a self proclaimed Francophile. Welcome to our world, Navarone (and Louis the pug). We’re so glad you’re here. 😊

Seeing our mates across the industry impacted by the increasing consolidation of media is a sucker punch to the guts. This country has some of the best talent in the biz, and we wouldn’t be where we are today without the incredible influence of our peers. Anyone who’s worked in media knows that telling stories isn’t just work. It’s what gets us up in the morning, fuels passionate chats during the day, keeps us sane in an environment of non-stop change, and amuses us when we log off and switch off. We know there are lots of talented people looking for work at the moment. If you’re a videographer, video producer, video director, writer or content creator on the ground in Australia, we’d love for you to join our growing freelance crew. Link in comments. ❤️
