Almost 3 years to the day that I started my PhD, it is well overdue that I post something about it as I enter what is hopefully the final 6 months (said with naive optimism). Having an opportunity to sit down with Samantha Cook from the University of Technology Sydney and reflect on my career so far, it became clear why my friends are often confused and asking "so what do you actually do for work?".
