When the Hobart City Council needed a safe, efficient, and comprehensive solution, our team delivered! The Challenge? Regular inspections and maintenance are critical, but accessing the Rivulet poses safety risks and logistical difficulties. Our talented team developed a bespoke, end-to-end Digital Twin solution, offering a virtual approach to managing the Rivulet. Through advanced 3D reality mesh, GIS analysis, and terrestrial laser scanning, we made the Rivulet accessible for asset managers without the need for physical site visits. With our Digital Twin, asset managers and engineers can now: 👉 Identify and monitor defects in real time. 👉 Safely manage the Rivulet without entering the site. 👉 Leverage powerful analytics for future planning, including flood modelling. We are thrilled to share that we have been awarded the Innovation Award (Medium to Large Business) at the 2024 Tasmanian Geospatial Council of Australia Excellence Awards! 🏆   This recognition is for our cutting-edge project at the Hellyer Gold Mine, where we implemented an IoT-powered solution to monitor the tailings dam outfall position.   Our innovation provided insights for Hellyer to manage the distribution of tailings, through real-time data visualisation and analysis. We're delighted to welcome Geoff Hotton as our new Environmental Advisory Lead, based out of our Melbourne office. Geoff brings over 30 years of extensive experience in environmental science and advisory services, having held leadership roles at Aurecon, Jacobs, and Sinclair Knight Merz. In his most recent position as Managing Principal at Aurecon, Geoff spearheaded strategic growth initiatives, drove digital transformation in the environmental sector, and championed gender diversity in leadership. With a wealth of expertise in environmental planning, contaminated land management, and sustainable water solutions, Geoff's passion for innovation and excellence makes him a valuable addition to our team.
