Did anyone catch our Laboratory Director on Channel 9 News? As our community begins the recovery process from Cyclone Alfred, many are wondering - what simple steps can we take to manage moisture and mould? Here are a few key actions to help protect your space: 🪟 Ventilate! After days of being closed up indoors, now that it's dry and sunny, open your windows and let fresh air circulate. 💨 Dry out damp areas. If anything feels humid or musty, use fans or dehumidifiers if available, but don’t underestimate the power of natural airflow. 🛏 Check hidden spots. Moisture can linger in places we don’t usually check - behind cupboards, inside wardrobes, and under beds. A quick inspection now can prevent bigger issues later. 🧽 Clean routinely. Staying on top of dust and mould buildup is key. Use whatever cleaning products you have, just follow the label for proper dosage and contact time. And remember, chemical treatment should always be followed by physical removal. 📞 Seek expert advice. If you’re dealing with a serious mould or moisture issue, don’t hesitate to contact a remediation professional. If you have any other tips, post them in the comments below 👇 ❤️ Stay safe, and let’s support each other through the recovery!
