With about 1,300 exhibitors and 100,000 delegates - the 22nd China International Foundry Expo is the largest foundry industry conference in the world. VRX’s international marketing manager attended the conference to engage with potential buyers from around the world – all looking for high quality foundry sand that can be produced from our Arrowsmith North Silica Sand Project. A noticeable development in the industry is the use of 3D printing to produce intricate and complex molds for casting. Resin coated foundry sand is mixed with a binding agent to produce 3D printing media - with the molds created in layers.

EPA acknowledgement of the receipt of updated response to submissions is an important step in the approval process for Arrowsmith North. Subject to further review, and on acceptance, the EPA will prepare an assessment report for approval by the Western Australian Environment Minister with recommended conditions.
