Reflecting on a year of impact in Hasilpur, Pakistan!   With the guidance of Marlon Wambeek & Jeri Wambeek, our journey in Hasilpur, Pakistan reached its conclusion in March this year, and the results speak volumes. Through quarterly distributions funded by WAO Group, we've touched the lives of 180 families, providing crucial support in their time of need. Watch our journey unfold in this video of hope and love. Poverty can have a devastating impact on health in many communities. From malnutrition to lack of healthcare access, contaminated water, and mental health struggles – poverty touches every aspect of well-being. While millions are denied the basic right to health, millions more face threats from conflict and environmental dangers. The numbers are staggering: 877 million people are undernourished, 25,000 die from hunger annually, and over 200,000 succumb to water-related diseases each year. At WAOImpact, we're committed to helping vulnerable communities from our staff regions. Our recent projects show that with just AUD 15, we can provide a month's worth of food per person, and AUD 11 can equip a child with school supplies to keep learning. We know we can't solve poverty, education, and health issues alone. But every small effort brings hope and real change to someone's life. As we reflect on the significance of World Health Day, let's come together to make a difference. Whether it's providing a meal or supporting education, every action counts. Igniting Hope Through the Gift of Education, Because Every Wing Deserves to Soar! ✏️📚 On the 4th of February, while Sri Lanka celebrated its Independence Day, our WAO team in Sri Lanka was gearing up to spread hope and love in a rural part of Anuradhapura. Setting off on our journey to carry out WAO Impact's latest humanitarian project, 'Books Beyond Borders'. Join us as we take you on a journey to the rural village of Palugolla Wewa, 46 km inland in Anuradhapura, to a school that nurtures 195 children who are battling poverty, hoping to someday spread their wings and soar high. Witness the joyful faces, the hopeful eyes, and the excitement as our team in Sri Lanka, backed by WAOGroup and guided by Marlon Wambeek and Jeri Wambeek, equip 195 + 8 young minds with the tools to soar! Let’s build a future, where education is not just a privilege but a fundamental right for all.
