2024 marks 20 years since WaterAid Australia was founded💧 For 20 years, we have been working with local partners to bring clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene to everyone, everywhere. In these past 20 years, we have reached over five million people with our water, sanitation and hygiene programs, including 88 healthcare facilities and 511 schools to access water, sanitation and hygiene. We could not have done it without our incredible partners, sponsors, supporters, team members and volunteers. The film below shows the impact we have all achieved together and the work we still have to do. Please enjoy sharing in the celebration of 20 years of WaterAid Australia: https://lnkd.in/grT4X2pv 🙌 💧 🚽 🌍 #WaterAid20 #CleanWaterForAll #SanitationForAll #HygieneForAll

Thank you all who participated in the KBR South Australia WaterAid Soccer Tournament last Sunday - your enthusiasm and sportsmanship made the 12th WaterAid Soccer Tournament a great success – a record amount of $7800 was raised! It was so fantastic to see the teams coming together to raise funds to help WaterAid reach more communities with clean water. A big congratulations to GPA Engineering, who took home the trophy! This victory makes them the most successful team since the competition began in 2012. Well done to the runners up Tonkin as well, who came incredibly close to securing first place—what a thrilling final! Looking forward to seeing you next year! A huge thank you to our Naming Right Sponsors KBR, Inc. and SA Water our other kind sponsor. Many thanks to the volunteers for the day, from the SA WaterAid committee – Stuart Peevor, Steven Morton, and James Martin. And a special thank you to the Adelaide Comets FC for going above and beyond to host us at the event. We really appreciate how well you looked after us! Your support enables WaterAid to reach its vision of a world where everyone, everywhere has safe water, sanitation and hygiene. Thank you! #event #golfday #safewater #cleanwater #sdg6

We sincerely thank Interflow for their generous support as a Major Sponsor of WaterAid at the New South Wales Gala Ball. We are truly privileged to partner with Interflow, who have supported the WaterAid Gala Balls since they were established. Interflow’s support has enabled WaterAid to have an impact on communities living without clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene. We’re so glad you share our vision of a world where everyone, everywhere has clean water. Thank you. #event #water #safewater #cleanwater #sdg6

WaterAid's Big Spring Swim starts on November 1. Dive in, go the distance and be a part of something amazing! But don't just take our word for it, here's what Big Spring Swim participant Marie had to say! 💧It’s a great cause. It’s not competitive. Sponsorships are not per km, so swimmers of all levels can feel proud of their sponsorships. A swimmer who only completes 1km over the month can raise more funds than a swimmer who completes 40km. This is fair. Not having access to clean water and toilets is not fair, so sign up everyone, regardless of your ability. You can do it💧 So water you waiting for! 🌏 As people around the world need our help more than ever, Australia’s aid has dropped to just 0.68% of the federal budget. Our Chief Executive Tom Muller is pictured below joining the #SaferWorldForAll campaign. By increasing Australia's aid to a modest 1%, we can make a huge impact on lives around the world. Walk for Water 2024 has been such a wonderful collective effort of so many, but we did want to acknowledge and recognise some special efforts from some organisations and some individuals.🌟 Congratulations to Haslin Constructions for topping the leaderboard in this year's Walk for Water! 🏆💧 It's been a tight race, with Yarra Valley Water setting the pace early, leading the way with an impressive 190 staff members signing up. In the final days, the leaderboard saw a shake-up as companies like Abergeldie Complex Infrastructure, Aurecon, DT Infrastructure, Haslin Constructions, Jacobs, Sika, and Xylem ANZ matched their teams' fundraising efforts, doubling their contributions. This last-minute surge reshuffled the standings, and Haslin Constructions emerged victorious!🥇 On the individual front, a huge shoutout to Chris Yeats, who took his fundraising efforts to new heights!🌟 Chris shared his passion on social media, creating inspiring and creative videos to raise awareness and funds. His dedication paid off, topping the individual leaderboard with an incredible $6,609 raised! We also want to commend William Morris, who walked an impressive 60km over two days - from the Central Coast to his office in Sydney - raising $2,108 and represented WateAid in several media interviews about his walk. What incredible dedication! This amazing journey is about more than just rankings - it's about coming together for lasting impact. Thank you to everyone who made Walk for Water a success! 👏👏👏 #walkforwater2024 #leaderboard #teameffort #cleanwater #safewater #sdg6
