Our very own Head of Community & Growth Frances Goh spoke with LinkedIn on the barriers women face in startup investment. The venture capital world is dominated by men who make the funding decisions, which is why only 4% of the venture capital funding that went to startups in 2023 went to female-founded startups. As Frances said, we need dedicated investment schemes for women-led startups because the benefits often flow on to their own communities.
