Westgold recently held community forums in Cue and Meekatharra to engage with local residents and provide updates on the company's operations and activities. These forums fostered open discussions, allowing team members to answer questions and connect with community members. Bonnie Mason, Superintendent of Community and Social Performance, said Westgold is committed to maintaining an open dialogue with its host communities in the Murchison and Southern Goldfields. “It’s about listening, earning community trust, and reminding people and local businesses of the opportunities available across our operations,” she said. This feedback is invaluable, and we’re dedicated to keeping the conversation going and supporting the Murchison and Southern Goldfields.

  • Biodiversity protection is a core priority at Westgold, which is why our Environment team recently attended wildlife care training at Kanyana Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, enhancing their skills to protect native wildlife on our sites. With team members who’ve done everything from saving turtles to tracking elephants, it was great to see them gaining new skills specific to Australian wildlife. Through initiatives like these, we’re working to minimise environmental impact and preserve our natural environment for generations to come. Last week, we attended the AMEC (Association of Mining and Exploration Companies) Awards, where Westgold was proud to be a finalist in two categories. In this video, our Acting Chief Safety and Sustainability Officer, Kaisan Critchell, shares a case study on our innovative approach to waste-rock storage – with the creation of a ‘geomorphic’ waste rock facility i.e. one that mimics the surrounding landscape. 🔗 See Westgold's latest Sustainability Report: https://lnkd.in/g5iPG9Fc.

  • In line with Westgold’s commitment to safety, we recently partnered with St John WA for a hands-on safety training session, where our Emergency Response Team practiced critical first-aid and emergency response skills. From triage drills to a simulated rescue at Great Fingall Mine, our team got hands-on experience working side-by-side with the skilled team at St John WA.

  • $1.4B merger lifts Westgold into ASX 200 Westgold Resources Limited (ASX: WGX / ASX:TSX / OTCQX: WGXRF - Westgold or the Company) is pleased to report results for the period ending 30 September 2024 (Q1 FY25).   Westgold Managing Director and CEO Wayne Bramwell commented:   “Q1 FY25 represents both a transformational and a transitional period for Westgold. On 1 August Westgold completed a $1.4B merger with Karora Resources that has transformed Westgold into a 400,000+ ozpa, top five Australian gold producer. On 6 August we commenced trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange and in September, Westgold joined the ranks of S&P’s ASX 200.   Six quarters of disciplined and sustained cash-build from our Murchison operations delivered free cash and drove the value in Westgold’s scrip that allowed us to complete the merger without a capital raise or debt draw down debt. Importantly, at the end of the quarter, Westgold remained unhedged and debt free, with its $100M Revolving Corporate Facility undrawn.”   #westgold #deliveringvalue #goldproducer Q1 FY25 Investor Update and Webcast https://lnkd.in/gKd3XAd4 September 2024 Quarterly Results https://lnkd.in/g9NN64YV

Westgold on track to meet FY25 Guidance with ramp-up back-ended in H2   Westgold Resources Limited (ASX/TSX: WGX, OTCQX: WGXRF – Westgold or the Company) produced a record 77,369 ounces of gold from its expanded portfolio, achieving an average sale price of $3,723/oz.   Westgold Managing Director and CEO Wayne Bramwell commented:   “In August Westgold successfully completed a $1.4B merger that created a top 5 ASX and top 10 TSX listed gold producer and propelled the company into the ranks of the ASX200. Q1 FY25 delivered our highest quarterly gold production yet, with the results only reflecting two months’ production from our Southern Goldfields operations.   Westgold remains on-track to achieve our stated full-year production guidance, with production back-ended in the second half of the financial year as Bluebird South-Junction expands to the 1.2Mtpa run rate, Beta Hunt reaches expected run rate of >2Mtpa and mining commences at Great Fingall.   We look forward to delivering more quarterly production records and cash-build as we optimise, then expand our extended portfolio of assets in two of Australia’s most prolific gold-producing regions.” Link to full announcement: https://lnkd.in/gn6Skc_g #westgold #thenextphase #growth #gold
