Simply leave a gift (for a child aged 0-18 or an adult) under the Giving Trees located at Wests League Club, Country Club Gledswood Hills and Lakeside Golf Club Camden. In recognition of another challenging year, we suggest a $20 limit for each gift. Alternatively, you can make a $20 cash donation at reception across all Wests Group venues. Wests Group Macarthur was delighted to host the Wests Sports Council 24th Annual Sports Awards earlier in the week, with each nominee recognised for their phenomenal contributions to grassroots sport, sporting accomplishments, and sporting spirit. These awards continue to be a great opportunity to recognise and reward the rising talent in our local sporting community 💙 The stories this year were some of the best we’ve ever had with so much talent and some stellar results! Not too long ago on the 31st August, we were celebrating the milestone that was 50 Years of Wests League Club. We gathered, not just to mark a milestone for the club, but to honour a legacy that has been built over the last half a century. This event also saw the unveiling of our special 50th Anniversary publication and welcomed many wonderful community friends, staff and supporters together for a nostalgic trip down the last 50 years though pictures, videos and on stage conversations. It was wonderful to be able to celebrate how the small club that opened with just 400 members in August 1974 is now part of the leading club group that is Wests Group Macarthur with over 90,000 members and four soon to be five venues within Macarthur. Wests Group Macarthur would like to congratulate Directors Greg Copeland and Stephen Stewart on their recent nominations in the NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards. Both were awarded a certificate earlier in the week at the South Western Sydney / Macarthur Regional Ceremony held in Campbelltown and have progressed as finalists in the category of “Club Volunteer of the year” with the winner to be determined at the state ceremony at Parliament house in early November. Outside of being Directors at Wests Group Macarthur both Greg and Stephen have been active volunteer contributors to local sporting organisations including Camden Rams Rugby League Football Club and Magpies Cricket Club respectively and are strong ongoing contributors to a number of other sporting and community causes in the region. West Group Macarthur was thrilled to celebrate 50 years of Wests League Club on Saturday 31st August, exactly 50 years on from the official opening of the venue back in 1974. We gathered not just to mark a milestone for the club, but to honour a legacy that has been built over half a century with many foundation directors, permanent members, former management and staff, members of the Campbelltown City Kangaroos family, Wests Sports Council members and professional friends in attendance. Following an extensive campaign rollout including venue displays, food and beverage specials, and our biggest-ever promotional campaigns, the event was the final element of a carefully curated history program. Accompanying the campaign was the launch of our 50th Anniversary Publication written by local Historian Jeff McGill which is now available via the touch screens in the bottom foyer at Wests League Club. The event celebrated in the present, honoured the past, and looked toward the future and featured curated history displays, image galleries, and video interviews, a modern 70’s style menu and special performances from a Mirror ball performer and award-winning tribute show The Vallies with hits from Frankie Vallie & The Four Seasons, Rock and Disco. On the evening, we were pleased to also offer our members the chance to win a share of $50,000 Cash with 10x happy members walking away winners across our venues. The 50th Anniversary commemorative Beer Steins and Champagne are still available until the end of September or until sold out exclusively at Wests League Club Monday - Friday. Wests Group Macarthur, along with Camden Golf Club and Camden RSL attended a Camden ClubGRANTS presentation today. Each of these local Macarthur venues have come together throughout the previous ClubGRANTs round, donating a total of $1,143,620 to the Camden Community through various initiatives. Wests Group Macarthur is incredibly proud of the support we offer our community, having funded over 25 individual projects within the Camden ClubGRANTs round. #formacarthur #ClubGRANTS

Wests Group Macarthur, along with Campbelltown Catholic Club, Campbelltown RSL and Ingleburn RSL, attended a Campbelltown ClubGRANTS presentation on Wednesday 31 July. Each of these local Macarthur venues have come together throughout the previous ClubGRANTs round, donating a total of $2,982,163 to the Campbelltown Community through various initiatives. This Sunday 4th August, Campbelltown City Kangaroos (CCK) will host a special day of Rugby League in honour of 50 years of Wests League Club ✨ Invitation is open to all 1973-76 players, current players, officials, and supporters of Campbelltown City Kangaroos including CCK Life Members, and Wests Group Macarthur members to join in the special occasion and watch some fantastic local footy 🏈 We invite guests to come together to reminisce on the golden years over a good old-fashioned BBQ and the bar will be available for drinks 🍻 Wests Group Macarthur is also honoured to present special edition 50th Anniversary Jerseys to female league tag and First Grade Campbelltown City Kangaroos teams on the day as a throwback to the Jerseys worn back in 1974.
