Our CEO, Chris Ashton, was recently profiled in Forbes sharing the latest best practices in project performance, emphasizing the importance of sustainability. "Our thought leadership work with Princeton University's Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment shows us that executing projects the same way we always have will not get us to net zero by 2050. In fact, we won't even get halfway. So we must change, and are changing, how we traditionally deliver projects," Chris said. Effective project delivery means delivering quickly, efficiently, and predictably. Advances in technology are helping us achieve just that—driving better visibility and enabling higher performance. In our fourth From Ambition to Reality paper, we look at how energy, chemicals and resources producers can build greater trust among project stakeholders, for effective project delivery. We’re partnering with Liquid Wind to provide the pre-FEED for the NorthStarH2 e-methanol facility in Östersund, Sweden. The facility will produce over 100,000 tons of e-methanol annually, a key step in decarbonizing both the shipping and chemical industries. The project will be led by our Nordic team in Gothenburg and Copenhagen, with support from our global hydrogen experts and the Global Integrated Delivery (GID) team in India. “We’re excited to collaborate with Uniper and Liquid Wind to unlock the potential of the NorthStarH2 project and help balance the global dependence on fossil fuels," says Jan Narvestad, SVP, Nordics. We've accelerated delivery of alternative natural gas supplies to Germany at Brunsbüttel, operated by Deutsche Energy Terminal (DET). We developed the LNG terminal, with the FSRU 𝐻𝑜̈𝑒𝑔ℎ 𝐺𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑒𝑡, in months rather than years and is critical infrastructure for Germany's gas supply.
