Xylem’s partnership with a group of blue-chip companies, including Microsoft and Starbucks, has recently celebrated the milestone of raising $USD100M to finance water and sanitation solutions in emerging markets. The Water & Climate Resilience Fund is under the umbrella of private investment firm WaterEquity, who hope to reach 15 million people globally with access to safe water and sanitation. The Fund will invest in projects across the water value chain in Africa, Asia and Latin America. According to the World Bank, investments in this sector must at least quadruple from current levels to fully achieve Sustainable Development Goal 6 — clean water and sanitation for all. #XylemANZ #SolvingWater #Sanitation

Xylem recently hosted Watermark Ignite Young Water Professionals at the University of Technology, Sydney. Students gained valuable insights into the water industry's challenges and innovations from top professionals, including Xylem CEO Matthew Pine and leadership team members Albert Cho, Keith Buettner, and Brian Krishna The event also encouraged networking among students and experts, fostering future collaborations. A highlight was the ‘wine to water filter build’ charity activity, where students contributed to a global cause by building water filters, making a tangible difference in communities lacking access to clean water. #watermark #xylemanz #youngwaterprofessionals

The Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations has declared October 16 as World Food Day in an attempt to raise awareness of food insecurity. In every region of the world, food insecurity is more common among adult women than men. Members of Xylem’s Sydney team will collect food donations as part of a food bank to help local communities facing food insecurity. In Australia, between 4% and 13% of the general population are food insecure, a number that rises to 22% to 32% for Indigenous people. #XylemANZ #Watermark #WorldFoodDay
