    We were honoured to participate in this year's Australian HR Institute (AHRI) SA Conference last Wednesday. Our co-founder and Managing Director, Marcus Zeltzer, shared insights from conducting over 100 remediation projects to help HR and IR professionals navigate complex payroll compliance challenges.     In our recent webinar, we polled 59 participants to uncover their biggest challenges in managing superannuation compliance. The poll allowed for multiple answers and revealed the following top issues: 💻 System limitations: Many payroll systems struggle with the complexities of superannuation, leading to manual workarounds and potential errors. 💰 Superannuation allowances: Misunderstanding allowances can lead to inaccurate calculations. 👩💻 Incorrect pay codes: Compliance issues may arise when employees are unclear about the appropriate pay codes to use, or when there is a mismatch of pay codes across systems. 🛠 Paying contractors: Independent contractors can be classified as employees for superannuation guarantee (SG) purposes, potentially leading to missed superannuation contributions.
