We're a leading healthcare organisation empowering people to live healthier, happier, and more independent lives.

About us

Connections – with our customers, our people, and the communities we serve – are at the centre of everything we do. Put simply, our business is focused on people, and empowering them to live healthier, happier, and more independent lives. We established Zenitas in 2016 with the aim of providing people with quality health and care services in their own homes and in the community. The name ‘Zenitas’ comes from Latin and means ‘peak health’ – something that factors into everything we do. We believe that ‘peak health’ doesn’t just mean a person’s physical health, but is about their overall wellbeing. It’s why our range of services support the broader wellbeing needs of our customers. This is evidenced in our integrated approach to care, and in the choice that our national footprint of services enables. We offer connected wellbeing services across health, aged care and disability services, conveniently delivered how and where our customers want, by a network of trusted health and care professions. We offer the following services in partnership with our community-based brands that are loved and trusted by our customers across Australia: Plena Healthcare: providing care to customers in residential aged care facilities and communities around Australia. We look after their needs with physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, speech therapy, and dietetic services. Claro Aged Care and Disability Services: providing personalised care and accommodation services to people living with a disability and elderly customers, so they can live life on their own terms and in their own homes, in the community, or in one of our supported residential care homes.

We recently held our mid-year events across the country, hosting a fun and engaging evening to say thanks for the tireless work of our team members. We got to celebrate our people and thank them for the care and support they give our clients each and every day. QLD - Enjoyed a paint-and-sip evening at Wesley Taylor Art Studio. VIC - Partook in a table tennis and shuffleboard tournament. WA - Had an exciting night of social darts at a British-themed fairground venue. NSW - Showcased their most colourful knitwear to celebrate 2024 thus far! SA - Tore up the dancefloor all night long at Electra House. Join us this week in learning about and celebrating the culture and stories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Visit an indigenous shop, read a book by a First Nations author, watch a television show or movie made by a First Nations filmmaker. The Diversity & Inclusion Committee is hosting afternoon teas this week in our offices in Melbourne and Adelaide using native ingredients and produce from First Nations suppliers. This week more than ever, Keep the Fire Burning! [Accessibility Description: Celebrating and recognising NAIDOC Week.]

Almost 1 in 2 Australians are diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85, and this week our team did their part by raising funds around the country. Our team raised over $580 for the Cancer Council, and we couldn't be prouder. [Accessibility Description: Collation of photos from Biggest Morning Tea's held around the country]

Whilst we would have liked to see a greater focus on disability funding in the latest budget, we are pleased to see the continued focus on measures announced previously which will strengthen the NDIS and ensure fair and equitable care for participants. What would you have liked to see addressed in the latest budget?

The 2024-25 Federal Budget announcement this week revealed no new funding for the NDIS or disability services, but reinforced the plans announced in the previous budget. With a strong focus on preventing fraud within the NDIS system, the government is striving to protect the integrity of the system and uphold the tenets of Choice and Control for all participants. What changes will the 2024-25 Federal Budget bring for our older population and those living in aged care? The government continues to invest in implementing recommendations from the Royal Commission into Aged Care, including capabilities to enforce the regulations. There is also an increase to Home Care Package funding, meaning 24,100 additional recipients will receive the support they need. What would you have liked to see addressed in this latest budget?
