Zenith Minerals Limited (ASX:ZNC) is very pleased to announce the appointment of highly experienced mining executive, Mr Andrew Smith, as the Company’s new Managing Director, commencing on 31 July 2024. With a proven track record, Andrew’s most recent success was as CEO of British Lithium, which he founded in 2017. British Lithium discovered a world-class lithium deposit in the UK. Andrew ran handson, the exploration and evaluation work and developed innovative (now patented) technology for the commercial beneficiation of lithium mica, which had never been previously achieved. He built up the owner’s team, and over several years developed and perfected a sustainable process for production of battery grade lithium carbonate, designing and building an end-to-end pilot plant in 2021. In 2023 he ran a due diligence process which resulted in a multinational partner, IMERYS, acquiring an 80% interest in the project. IMERYS is a world leading supplier of speciality minerals for industry and has committed to complete the feasibility and build the full-scale project incorporating Andrew’s technical innovations. Andrew has 15 years’ experience in the mining industry ranging from early-stage discovery through to feasibility studies and development projects around the world, including Australia, Africa, Czech Republic and most recently the UK. He has worked for a range of medium to large scale corporations including British Lithium, Cominco Resources Limited, European Metals, Equatorial Resources Limited and Rio Tinto Limited. A Bachelor of Engineering & Bachelor of Commerce with First Class Honours from Sydney University underpins Andrew’s formal education. He has also studied at the National Institute of Space in Virginia. Commenting on his appointment new Managing Director, Andrew Smith, said: “Zenith has a remarkable portfolio of tenements that demonstrate significant promise, covering key commodities such as lithium, gold, and base metals. I am eager to continue the strong foundational work led by Mick Clifford, with a view to developing these assets to their full potential. With the gold price at near all-time highs, the near-term priority is advancing the Company’s gold projects, particularly Red Mountain in Queensland and Dulcie Far North in Western Australia, whilst the Western Australian lithium portfolio is our long-term focus. I look forward to working with the team to unlock the value of Zenith's projects and lead the Company into an exciting new chapter.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/g94GbNqw $ZNC Michael Clifford Christopher Shanley Andrew Grove

Zenith Minerals Limited (ASX:ZNC) is pleased to report that exploration is to re-commence at the Company’s 100% owned lithium projects in Western Australia following a strategic review of its lithium business. Under the former 2022 farm-in agreement, approximately A$9.3M was spent by EVM on Zenith’s two Western Australian lithium projects - Split Rocks and Waratah Well. Most of the work under the farmin was completed in 2022 with no drilling undertaken during 2023. Zenith shareholders are the beneficiaries of the significant amount of funds spent that saw 23,000m of drilling and over 15,000 2 geochemical samples completed across the two Zenith projects, culminating in the discovery of the Rio lithium deposit and definition of a 11.9Mt @ 0.72% Li2O Maiden Mineral Resource (ASX Release 28 Sept 23) at Split Rocks and high-grade lithium mineralisation defined at the Waratah Well project. Managing Director Michael Clifford commented: “I’m pleased to announce the conclusion of the strategic review of Zenith’s lithium business and advise that the Company will now proceed with initially drill testing six high-priority targets on the 100% owned Split Rocks project in Western Australia. These drill targets include 1km step out drilling northwest of the Rio Lithium Mineral Resource and 5 other key targets beyond the Rio deposit, including the undrilled 9km long Cielo geochemical anomaly. These drill targets are explained in some detail in the accompanying Company presentation titled “2024 Lithium Forward Program” released to ASX today.” Although there was interest in Zenth’s lithium assets from various strategics, the feedback from several parties was that they were looking for more advanced projects, but they strongly indicated that as the projects are advanced, they would consider re-engaging. The opportunity now is for the Company to progress our high-quality lithium projects with additional work, and then reassess our position in 6 to 12 months’ time.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/gEDuvp36 $ZNC Michael Clifford Christopher Shanley Andrew Grove
