Have you heard the calls of the White-cheeked Gibbons and Siamangs at Adelaide Zoo? Their 'whoops' have become an iconic sound around our city oasis and certainly let everyone know about the wild within! Thanks to our friends at BeSeen Advertising, we can also spread the word far and wide about Zoos SA's amazing species and conservation efforts. #partnership

It takes an Elephant-sized amount of steel to create a habitat for Asian Elephants! 🐘 Our friends at Southern Steel Supplies have been hard at work helping us build the Elephant's new home including their barn, which is designed to offer a spacious, comfortable indoor area for the elephants, particularly during cooler nights or inclement weather. The barn will feature a cosy substrate for bedding, ensuring a soft and comfortable resting environment. Additionally, warm water showers will be available to help the elephants stay clean and comfortable! We can't wait to welcome our first Asian Elephant to Monarto Safari Park very soon! #partner

We have some big news – Zoos SA Chief Executive, Elaine Bensted, has announced her intention to retire from her position next year. After 12 years at the helm of the organisation, Elaine will finish in her role late in April 2025 and head into a well-deserved retirement. During Elaine’s tenure, there have been many special milestones for our organisation, from construction of the Nature’s Playground at Adelaide Zoo to the opening of the new Visitor Centre at Monarto Safari Park. And while Elaine says now is the right time to hand the reins over, she still has unfinished business before she leaves. Listen in as she shares her thoughts and thanks to our Zoos SA family. Are you Zoos SA’s next Chief Executive? See all the details to apply here - https://we.tl/t-q2rkhz6r5p

Did you know a tiger's sense of hearing is so sharp, that they are capable of hearing infrasound? 🐅 This is a sound wave below 20 hertz, the normal range that a human can hear. Tigers use infrasound to communicate over long distances or through dense forest - how amazing is that! Fresh 92.7 is also using their sound waves for good, helping us to get the word out about Zoos SA and our vital conservation work with species like the critically-endangered Sumatran Tiger. 🐾 #partnership

Sound up for the bliss of a rhino wallow! 🦏 Southern White Rhino love to roll about in large pits of wet mud to keep cool and protect their skin from sun and insects! ☀️ Thanks to amazing partners like MAC Trade Services, we have also made the more of the sunshine with solar-powered cameras at the rhino bus stop to make sure we keep the park moving! #partnership

Did you know a group of Spotted Hyena is called a clan? These inquisitive carnivores live in large groups made up of up to 90-120 individuals and are often made up of smaller family groups or sub-clans. Just like the hyena, we are also a big clan at Zoos SA, with many different teams and individuals all working together to connect people with nature and save species from extinction. Thanks to pawsome partners like Teamgage, we aim to create a positive and productive workplace for both our staff and the animals that call our sites home. 📷 Adrian Mann #partnership
