At Medtronic, we are proud to foster a workplace where everyone is welcome and valued, regardless of their identity or background. Last week, our Medtronic PRIDE Network hosted an enlightening discussion with Steve Spencer, a passionate bisexual and HIV advocate. Steve shared his personal journey with HIV, providing valuable insights on the realities of living with HIV and navigating the sexuality spectrum in today's world. Events like these are vital as they create a safe space for open dialogue, helping to break down stigmas and celebrate diversity. Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) like ANZ PRIDE Network play a crucial role in supporting inclusivity, offering platforms for meaningful conversations and empowering every voice. Together, we are committed to ensuring that everyone feels seen, heard, and accepted for who they are. #PrideAtWork

We were excited to be an exclusive platinum sponsor of APHRS 2024 - Sydney, the premier heart rhythm conference in the Asia-Pacific region! Guided by our Mission to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life, we remain committed to leading the way in cardiac therapies. The last time APHRS was held in Australia was nearly a decade ago, it was wonderful for our teams to connect with our valuable customers and showcase our technologies at the exhibition. We were also thrilled to welcome Sean Salmon, Executive Vice President and President of our Cardiovascular Portfolio to Sydney! It was a great opportunity for our employees in ANZ to connect, share insights, and gain leadership perspectives. Thank you Sean for inspiring and engaging with our employees in the land down under. #Leadership #Innovation #Connection #APHRS

This year during Heart Valve Disease Awareness Week, we had a goal to run heart murmur screening clinics for local communities across Australia and New Zealand. Aortic stenosis is a condition in which after developing symptoms, the average patient survival without treatment is two years.¹ As part of our “Ask your GP to listen to your heart” campaign, we partnered with leading cardiologists and hospitals to offer free cardiac services to patients. With the support of Dr Kaleab Asrress, Dr Ed Danson, Dr David Roy, Dr Julian Yeoh, Dr Matias B Yudi and patient advocacy group hearts4heart we were able to listen to over 350 hearts, picking up cardiac anomalies whilst offering vital services to the community! We would like to send a special thanks to our partners and remind everyone of the importance to listen for aortic stenosis! 1.
