In October, we were delighted to host the Minister of Planning and Investment of Vietnam, His Excellency Dr Nguyen Chi Dung, and his delegation for a tour of the precinct, where we explored exciting opportunities to collaborate and foster development in startups and the AI industry. In addition, this month was filled with creativity and insightful discussions from researchers, students and entrepreneurs. We heard researchers pitch their innovative solutions aimed at addressing health equity as part of The University of Melbourne’s MDHS Impact Health Catalyst Program. We hosted the GSA’s Future Careers Expo, providing students with opportunities to connect with top employers, and we hosted an AI at Melbourne Colloquium with AIBUILD, showcasing their entrepreneurial journey and innovative approach to AI consulting. Recent research by The University of Melbourne shows that well-designed AI tools can make online spaces better by detecting, stepping in and responding to toxic behaviour.
