Optus teams are working around the clock to restore services for customers in south-east Queensland and northern NSW affected by ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred as soon as possible. With safety as our top priority, we have been progressively restoring sites, prioritising key hub locations and deploying generators and satellite-powered mobile base stations (SatCats) to critical areas. Our technicians - many arriving from across the country - are working hard to overcome extreme weather challenges, including road closures and power outages. Despite these obstacles, we remain focused on supporting impacted communities and key evacuation centres. In the lead-up to and throughout this event, we’ve been working closely with Government agencies, energy companies, emergency services, the Bureau of Meteorology and other stakeholders to ensure we coordinate our response together. We are also collaborating with our telco counterparts to ensure customer services are restored as soon as possible. We are sorry for the impact this is having on our customers, and we thank them for their patience. 👉For the latest updates on our recovery efforts and store re-openings, visit: https://lnkd.in/ge_hAmDt
