What an incredible experience! 🚀 Something Tech. Day 2 wrapped up an amazing festival, filled with inspiring speakers, groundbreaking ideas, and meaningful connections. From deep tech innovations to lively debates on funding strategies, we explored the future of technology and its impact on our industries and planet. A huge thank you to all our speakers, partners, attendees, and teams who made this epic event unforgettable. 💙🌏 Siobhan O'Sullivan (nee Casey) GAICD, COO of the ACS (Australian Computer Society), welcomed the day with a heartfelt poem to thank our partners and highlighted the importance of commercialization for Australian technology. She was followed by Sarah Smith, Director of Startups and The Precinct at Advance Queensland, who also joined the stage as our collaborator and a key enabler of innovation for Queensland. Day 2 was a whirlwind of innovation, featuring powerhouse speakers like Craig Scroggie, CEO and Managing Director of NEXTDC, who delivered an insightful speech about scaling businesses from millions to billions of dollars. We also explored sustainability in agriculture with a panel of experts tackling the critical role of sustainable AgTech in shaping our planet's future, featuring insights from industry experts: Philippe Ceulen, Claire Mahony, Tim Neale and Duncan Ferguson A standout moment was the The Startup Playbook Podcast Live with Rohit Bhargava, where he interviewed Paul Stovell of Octopus Deploy —an insightful session on scaling high-growth tech companies.
