TYRA BANKS: ONE BRUTALLY FIERCE DIVA

But apparently it is true, say staff members who worked for her.

When Tyra Banks suddenly announced last year that she would be ending her talk show run at the end of the year, she made it known on her website and through an exclusive statement with People magazine.

However, she didn't seem to think all of her staff needed to know such a minor detail like, oh you don't have a job anymore, so she just didn't tell them.

Naturally things didn't go down to well with staff members once they did find out via Tyra's chosen methods of getting the news out there, and naturally there were many angry and hurt people.

Not wanting to let her get away with it, a few of her staff had a good bitch on the New York Daily News' gossip column, Gatecrasher, about their former boss.

"There had been high turnover of employees for years," a past crew member said, insisting that many people quit after just a few months because it was "pretty difficult to work for Tyra."

"She and the higher-ups on the production staff could be extremely brutal," the source said. "She really is a diva."

An industry source who has worked on the show agreed, adding, "Everything had to be done Tyra's way."

The America's Next Top Model host, released a statement insisting she wants to focus on launching her film company, Bankable Studios, which she says will bring "positive images of women to the big screen."

While her former staff members weren't feeling so positive and were making plans to head down to the unemployment office, Tyra was oblivious of the mayhem she had caused and vowed to stay as fierce and focussed as ever on her burgeoning career.
