Meet participant of our #inclusive workshops - Vugar Muradov. Vugar shares his experience: “ I received a lot of attention and feel that I’m a member of this family. There are no faults found in these inclusive sessions, and there are no biased stereotypes. Here, a person feels reborn; it is a very beautiful feeling that provides comfort. Everyone shows attention to one another. I travel from the Imishli district to #Baku to attend the class, covering a distance of 200 km. The attraction of this place draws me in. In fact, I am captivated and cannot escape it.” Vugar is one of the 450,000 #peoplewithdisabilities who live in our country. Creating an inclusive society is essential not only for people with disabilities but for everyone, regardless of their ethnicity, gender, beliefs, backgrounds, or other differences. Currently, Vugar is traveling 200 km to attend the inclusive well-being workshop based on the DanceAbility method. Our #goal is to create #equalopportunities for #wellbeing not only for #people in Baku but for #everyone in our country. If you would like to contribute to the creation of an #inclusivesociety, please contact me. You can choose a diverse #collaboration model that best suits you. I’m thrilled to share my interview on #CBC Channel's program #SustainableDevelopment”. I discussed the importance of #inclusion and highlighted the services and initiatives of my company, DanceAbility Azerbaijan - Inclusive Dance Company. We are dedicated to overcoming #isolation and #separation in our country. Can we do better? Definitely yes! Since 2017, we have been committed to creating #equalopportunities for the #wellbeing of all individuals, including those from #vulnerable groups and #communities. Only through mutual learning, collaboration, and dedicated efforts can we achieve #equalevolution for our #country. Liya Bayramova once again, thank you for the invitation to the interview and for the opportunity to share about the importance of inclusion. You can find the full interview: https://lnkd.in/e7Fgr5nU

  • What is the outcome of the #wellbeing hour combined with raising awareness about #Diversity, #Equity, and #Inclusion (#DEI) Your #company will have the #opportunity to engage and create within various groups, experiencing the benefits of working in a very #diverse #environment. Each person's #differences should not divide us but serve as an opportunity to see things from different angles and think outside the box. In our Well-Being sessions, we use the #DanceAbility method, which includes various exercises allowing participants to improve their well-being and #mindfulness, explore different ways of #self-expression, and discover alternative methods of #communication. This method fosters a sense of #unity among all participants. In this video, you will see Kapital Bank employees joining our workshop. Our trainers include individuals with and without #disabilities, teenagers from boarding schools, and a diverse group of participants. You can join us, or we can hold a Well-Being Hour at your #workplace. Let's make a difference in our workplaces and communities by making them more #accessible and #inclusive. • Our next inclusive workshop will be held on July 28 from 15:30 to 17:30 at the Globus Center. Our project, "From Inclusive Classes to Inclusive Community," is conducted within the framework of our cooperation with the Youth Fund (@youthfundaz), and we are very happy about it! It is important for us to see both participants who have been coming for a long period of time and new people in every class. We are happy to provide an opportunity to build new friendships. On July 14, participants from India and USA also joined us. One of our participants, Saeed, became the leader of his team for the first time in his life, and it was an amazing experience for him and for all of us. At the end of our session, we collectively tried to answer the question, "WHEN I FEEL ALONE, I...." Then Ulkar created a single story with each of us by improvising and commenting on each of our answers. I would say that I feel my life is not just mine. I feel responsible both for my life and for the community I belong to. Our lives intersect and enrich one another like the stories we write together in the same class. By writing and sharing stories together, we can create the story of a new community based on justice and equity. For me, for us, for future generations. ~ Nigar Sultanova #inclusion #diversity #equity #accessibility #community #azerbaijan #wellbeing #deia #dei #people #peoplewithdisabilities

  • ✔️ We are presenting tools for building communication and relationships without violence. We are creating safe and non-judgmental spaces for all people, emphasizing the importance of doing so at an early age. Our aim is to create opportunities for children and teenagers to experience communication and collaboration based on respect and empathy. We conducted workshops at N2 Boarding School in Mardakan for more than 35 children. We would like to increase the numbers and create sustainability in these workshops, which will help improve well-being and enhance soft skills. We are not just moving; we are learning to move together in a non-violent way. We are learning to analyze what we think and experience, and share it with others. We are learning that differing opinions are opportunities to see things from different angles. If you want to be a part of our work and make an impact, contact us. +994 51 415 16 85 Nigar Sultanova 📸 Photo credit: @adilyusifov

  • “In DanceAbility method we believe that creativity is based on equality, not on specific skills.” On May 17th, at 9 Senses Art Center, DanceAbility Azerbaijan, an inclusive dance company, presented “Echoes of My Childhood“ with their students including children and adults with and without disabilities. The show, titled ‘Echoes of My Childhood,’ mirrors the hurdles and trials children encounter in life, showcasing their resolve to ride the waves rather than battle against them. It delves into life lessons gleaned from diverse experiences, underlining the significance of staying authentic, nurturing love, and making mindful choices. Featuring Indian Classical Dancer and founder of @junoon.official Ms. Mythili Zatakia (@themythicalzatak ) this performance was dedicated to International Child Protection Day on June 1st.
