Here's a story that not many know, but I thought it's time to share it with a larger crowd. Back in 2016, fresh out of university, I was all over the place, brimming with unrestrained energy and limitless ideas. It was that classic time of fearless exploration, where the world seemed like an open playground, yet funding those wild dreams felt like a major challenge. And to top it off, getting anyone to take me seriously seemed like a joke! 😂 That's when I kickstarted my marketing company, Meal For Real Now, the name might raise some eyebrows, right? But with limited resources, I did what I could manage - and that was building a WordPress page. I got in my amazing friends as "writers" and launched a food magazine packed with simple recipes and the latest gastro trends from around the world. Why a food magazine? you might ask. Well, for me, food has always been more than just nutritional support. It's joy, it's religion, it's medicine! (i mean it) I somehow convinced over 20 people to cook, click, and populate the admin panel with their content simultaneously. 🍽️✨ I was reposting this venture on Instagram, just to make sure I can leverage every post to increase its reach. And what a joy it was when we had over 1000 enthusiastic readers a month! But as all good things come to an end, my passionate "writers" naturally asked for a compensation, and had a right to do so. Unable to sustain non-original content, I realised it was time for something bigger, something commercially fun. And that's when the idea of organising the first annual street food festivals was born. 🍔🌭 Looking back, those moments of startup struggles & creativity have shaped my journey and taught me some real life lessons. Stay tuned for Part 2 as I unravel the rest of our stories.. P.S Our initial logo was essentially a fusion of all my conceptualisations in a single symbol! lol #EntrepreneurshipChronicles
