Yesterday we had great privilege and honour that our Preliminary design of Reconstruction of Olympic Stadium Kosevo Asim Ferhatovic Hase with the aim of obtaining UEFA category 4 (currently the stadium barely meets the requirements for category 2) was presented in beautiful Sarajevo City Hall in front of representatives of governments of Sarajevo Canton, Grad Sarajevo - City of Sarajevo , Općina Centar Sarajevo / Municipality Centar Sarajevo, Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and our Client, FK Sarajevo, which are all stakeholders in this important project for our capital city and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Unanimous opinion of all present at the meeting is that the project is well done, rational, economical and, most importantly, feasible and that they will support it financially. This is exactly what the client gave us as a task - to make minimum what is necessary to get UEFA Category 4 for the stadium. Our goal was not to make futuristic solutions which will cost tens of millions of Euros and which will never be constructed because at this moment Sarajevo and Bosnia can not finance such an expensive project. Unfortunately, many projects in our country remain only on paper or in 3D versions and client's and our wish was that this does not happen to our project. The cost of our project is less than 7 million Euros without VAT, it can be constructed in period of one year and after that, at this stadium, Bosnia and Herzegovina National Football Team will be able to play official, qualifying matches and Football Club Sarajevo will be able to play its home games in all UEFA group competitions, including the Champions League. FC Sarajevo will be able to use the stadium during the whole reconstruction process. It is important to note that this task was given to us few days before New Year so we had short time to make Elaborate of existing condition of stadium with proposals what needs to be done in order to get UEFA Cat 4 and after that we developed preliminary design of architecture together with preliminary structural calculations of the steel roof construction so we are very proud what we achieved in this short period and we would also like to thank representatives of Client for their huge and continuous support. The great thing is that this project is presented on the 40th anniversary of the Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo. Sad thing is that a few days ago, one of the two architects who made the project of the Olympic Stadium, Lidumil Braco Alikalfić, passed away and we are using this opportunity to pay tribute and respect to Mr. Alikalfić. The other author is architect Dušan Đapa. These are photos of the Westin Infinite Energy Center Hotel in Duluth, Georgia, USA. We made shop drawings and 3D modelling from scans for the fabrication of panels (ACM, corrugated and knotwood). The service was performed for our clients and friends from Kistler Company, LLC. New year, new start for one of the most famous buildings in Zenica! We were tasked by one of our important clients, ALMY d.o.o. Zenica, to make the design of renovation, adaptation and energy efficiency refurbishment of the building of Almy Business Center (previously the building of IK bank). The parts of that task were reconstructing of the facade and roof of the building, complete redesign of internal premises together with complete new design of the installations, adding external fire escape staircases and elevators and design of entrance plateau with landscaping. Very important part of the task was that design should be made so the building can get energy efficiency certificate A+, which was successfully acquired. For the reconstruction of the facade we chose ACM panels, the material which we dominantly work with on our facade engineering projects for our partners in the USA. This was intended as a tribute to our work there. The IK bank building was constructed in 1963. in accordance with the design of architect Karlo Kuzatko. The building is one of the most famous in our home city so in the Spatial Plan of the City of Zenica this building was recommended for preservation so we tried to keep the main character of the building as much as we could, and we had great support from our Client in that. We are sure that we have accomplished Client's and our goal since the reactions of the public can be summarized in one of the comments on one of the platforms which follow construction works worldwide: "I like it, it's modernized but, again, when I am looking at this building I see the old IK bank building." The work on this project was a great honour and pleasure for our company. It's expected that the building will be officially opened this year. Starting from the ancient Marathon Battle Site, along the shores of the Aegean Sea, through the streets of Athens and all the way to the legendary Panathenaic Stadium, our colleague Marin Simic participated and successfully completed the main marathon race at the jubilee 40th Athens Classic Marathon. He proudly wore the T-shirt of our company Aksa during the 42,195 meters(26.2 miles) long race. The marathon course is based on the legend from which the race gained its name: Pheidippides, a messenger in Ancient Greece, ran from the Battle of Marathon to Athens to announce the Greeks' victory over the Persians. It is considered as probably the most difficult major marathon race: the course is uphill from the 10 km mark to the 31 km mark – the toughest uphill climb of any major marathon. Since 1990, the Athens Classic Marathon has often served as the Greek national championships for the marathon event. The race ends at the legendary Panathenaic stadium - a site for athletics competitions in ancient times and the finishing point for both the 1896 and 2004 Olympic marathons. It is wonderful to see how our vision becomes reality! The construction of Sports-business complex Trnovo on Olympic Mountain of Bjelasnica in close proximity to Sarajevo is in full progress. This mega project covers the area of 112 151 m2 and it encompasses 2 full size football fields, sports hall, relax/spa facility, covered football field stand with a capacity of 1000 spectators, administrative building, 4-star hotel, restaurant and fourteen apartment buildings. During the design phase, special care was taken to keep the existing trees in accordance with our company's orientation to preserving nature and ecology. Aksa d.o.o. provided architectural – urban design of the whole complex, preliminary and main designs of the sports Hall, football field stand, administrative building and relax/spa building.
