আজ ১৭ সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২৪, বিকাল ৪:০০টায় ডাটাস্কেপ রিসার্চ এন্ড কনসাল্টেন্সি লিমিটেড- এর আয়োজনে রাজধানীর মিরপুরস্থ নিজস্ব অডিটোরিয়ামে “আগামীর উন্নয়ন ভাবনায় কর্মসংস্থান ও শ্রমবাজার” শীর্ষক একটি সেমিনার অনুষ্ঠিত হয় । উক্ত সেমিনারে মূখ্য আলোচক হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিশ্ব ব্যাংক গ্রুপের টেকনিক্যাল এন্ড ভোকেশনাল এডুকেশন এন্ড ট্রেনিং (টিভিইটি) বিষয়ক উদ্ধতন পরামর্শক জনাব এবিএম খোরশেদ আলম, (অবসরপ্রাপ্ত অতিরিক্ত সচিব) এবং সাবেক প্রধান নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা- ন্যাশনাল স্কিল ডেভেলপমেন্ট কাউন্সিল (এনএসডিসি)। আলোচক হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন জাতীয় পরিকল্পনা ও উন্নয়ন একাডেমি (এনএপিডি)-র পরিচালক- গবেষণা ও উন্নয়ন ড. মোহাম্মদ নুরুজ্জামান এবং গণসক্ষরতা অভিযান-এর উপ-পরিচালক জনাব তপন কুমার দাস। সেমিনারে স্বাগত বক্তব্য রাখেন ডাটাস্কেপ রিসার্চ এন্ড কনসাল্টেন্সি লিমিটেড- এর ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক জনাব রাকিব হোসেন। উক্ত সেমিনারে বিভিন্ন সংস্থার প্রতিনিধি, পেশাজীব এবং কর্পোরেট সেক্টরের কর্মী ও কর্মকর্তাবৃন্দ অংশগ্রহণ করেন। সেমিনার অনুষ্ঠানটি সঞ্চালনার দায়িত্ব পালন করেন ডাটাস্কেপ একাডেমির পরিচালক ও প্রধান নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা জনাব মোশাররফ হোসেন।

Dr Md. Nuruzzaman holding a doctoral degree in Economics from the Department of Economics, University of Dhaka and having 30 years of capacity building and M&E experience at home and abroad. Currently he is working as Director (Research and Publications) at the National Academy for Planning and Development (NAPD). He served various national training and research institutes including Bangladesh Academy for Rural Development (BARD), National Institute of Local Government (NILG), Bangladesh Civil Service Administration Academy. He also served DANIDA, KOICA, The World Bank, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and UNDP as consultants. He has diversified experience in rural development, poverty alleviation, performance management and auditing, participatory planning and budgeting, participatory monitoring evaluation and impact evaluation of policy, program and development projects. His current interest is conducting feasibility studies for various development projects and capacity building for evidence-based policy making. He is the current and founding President of Bangladesh Evaluation Society. He is actively involved in regional and international initiative for national and international evaluation capacity building and networking. He is the founder President of Bangladesh Evaluation Institute. Mr. ABM Khorshed Alam is retired Additional Secretary of Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and currently working as Senior TVET Advisor (STC) with The World Bank Group. He was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of National Skills Development Authority (NSDA) Secretariat under Ministry of Labor & Employment, Govt. of Bangladesh. He is a pioneer of skills development arena of Bangladesh. His contribution in skills development, labor market, employability, Job placement is well recognized in country and worldwide. Certificate of Merit awarded to MR. ABM Khorshed Alam in recognition of his outstanding contribution and dedicated service to WorldSkills in the General Assembly of WorldSkills International held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands from 15-18 October 2018. He had served the nation working with different ministries, departments, corporation in different capacities, major were- Ministry of Industries, Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC), Ministry of Planning, Ministry of Public Administration In his current engagement, Mr. Alam supports The World Bank and PMU (Project Management Unit) on implementation of ASSET Project, particularly in the areas- Quality and relevance of TVET, Operationalization of Industry Partnership through Public and Private Partnership (PPP), Green Skills analytical works and activities with government agencies and industry partners relating to Scoping Mission, Pre-preparation Mission, and Pre-appraisal mission on Accelerating and Strengthening Skills for Economic Transformation (ASSET) Project of The World Bank. He is the Co-author of “Skills and Education for A Greener Bangladesh” 2022, published by The World Bank, 2022. And Author, “Bangladesh: Transforming Public Enterprises”, published by International Center for Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE), an UN affiliated organization, on its 30 years old International Journal on Public Enterprises Vol. 18. #datascape #seminar #tapestry

Completed a successful training session on Study Tools and Protocols for the Baseline Study of the Multi-stakeholder Initiative for Peace and Stability (MIPS) Project, organized by The Hunger Project. The training took place from 18th to 20th August 2024 at the Datascape Research and Consultancy Limited office in Dhaka. The training brought together a distinguished group of experts and professionals dedicated to advancing peace and stability in our communities. Our study team included respected academics like Dr. Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah from the University of Dhaka, Dr. Md. Jamal Uddin from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, and Dr. Mohammad Raihan Sharif from Jahangirnagar University, among others. We were also honored to have representatives from The Hanger Project, including Dr. Nazmun Nahar Nur (Lubna), Deputy Programme Director of MIPS, and Fatema Mahmuda, M&E, Research & Knowledge Management Expert, who enriched the discussions with their insights and expertise.
