AI Product Lifecycle Part-2: Ahnaf starts this section by talking about building an inference pipeline — its components based on different types of inference and their architecture. After the deployment, it's vital that we regularly monitor the model performance. What if there are data drifts? What if the data source has shifted and now the incoming data are of different modalities and types than what you had expected — what if there are complex data, 'garbage data,' and blurred images…? What if there are other issues? Discovering the 'super math' power of #AI and applying it to solve high-value problems for our community is thrilling and fascinating! We hope you enjoy the lecture even half as much as we enjoy working on the challenges! #AIforEveryone #AIforBusiness #AIforGood

In our childhood, we used to wait for the evening to begin on the night(s) of 29th/30th Ramadan. We would rush to our rooftops to see who could locate the moon first! Back then, there was only one national TV channel—no cable, YouTube, the Internet, or even mobile phones. But, in many ways, it was so much sweeter! This anticipation, this search, this innocent competition among children—one of those sweet little things in life! Eid Mubarak to everyone! May Eid bring peace and happiness for every person on earth — rich or poor, in the North hemisphere or the South, with a phone or without…just everyone🌙

‘ISO/IEC 42001 is a globally recognized standard that provides guidelines for the governance and management of #AI technologies. It offers a systematic approach to addressing the challenges associated with AI implementation in a recognized management system framework covering areas such as ethics, accountability, transparency and data privacy.’ We now have three active ISO certificates – • ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System • ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Information Security Management System • ISO/IEC 42001:2023 Artificial Intelligence Management System To read more about this standard, please visit https://lnkd.in/eBi9fy5R #globalstandard #AIforBusiness #responsibleAI

Rashedul led the end-to-end development and deployment of 19 AI models, 30 parsers, and 3 algorithms. I don't know anyone in the country from the industry with more authority to talk about #AI capabilities, implementation journeys, and relevant challenges. Rashed manages multiple production loads in all three of the big tech's cloud computation platforms: AWS, Azure, and GCP. He leads our MLOps and manages our cloud computation infrastructure and costs. Like a total footballer, Rashed sports a comprehensive skillset in AI. And like a true leader, he continuously coaches and inspires his peers and young AI practitioners. Rashed also conducted AI workshops and training sessions for 372 managers from 5 organizations, including government organizations and the central bank. I wish we had hundreds of Rasheds in the country. The key? A huge hunger for learning, a resolution to stick to it until he understands a concept in depth, and a down-to-earth, humble mindset. When he completed high school, he immediately started solving problems for the BUET admission test. When he joined our team, he continuously asked for 'feedback and improvement tips.' A young, responsible father who is always there for his loving family and also consistently there for his relying team. It is such a privilege to be on a team with him! Thank you, Hisham, for writing about our Rashed on The Financial Express ✰👊🤲

As part of completing his Ph.D. in Biostatistics at Harvard University, Bangladeshi researcher Intekhab invented an #AI modeling framework that detected expression values from a network of 11,165 genes among 186 breast cancer patients. This is important because only by covering more of the gene set will we be able to predict all significant cancer pathways, which is how a patient might develop cancer. His model is scalable and more biologically explainable. Getting into the technical aspect — Intekhab and his co-authors introduced PHOENIX, a modeling framework based on neural ordinary differential equations (NeuralODEs), and Hill-Langmuir kinetics. PHOENIX allows flexible incorporation of prior domain knowledge and biological constraints, promoting sparse and biologically interpretable representations of ODEs. They show how PHOENIX, with user-defined prior knowledge and functional forms from systems biology, can encode key properties of gene-regulatory networks and predict expression patterns in a biologically explainable manner. The accuracy of PHOENIX is tested through in silico experiments, comparing it to existing ODE estimation tools. The framework's flexibility is demonstrated by analyzing oscillating expression data from synchronized yeast cells, and its scalability is showcased in modeling genome-scale breast cancer expression. Although most tools don’t scale beyond a few hundred or thousands of genes, PHOENIX obtained a single pseudotrajectory of expression values from a network of 11,165 genes across 186 breast cancer patients. (The Human Genome Project estimated that humans have between 20,000 and 25,000 genes.) Many thanks to Intekhab and his loving wife Lamisa for speaking with us earlier today. Lamisa is also completing her Ph.D. in a computational field at Rutgers University. We hope you find this glimpse of Intekhab's fascinating journey enlightening and inspiring!
