🎃 Happy Halloween from BIO INX! 🎃 This year, we’re bringing a touch of Halloween to the lab! For the occasion, our team used volumetric 3D printing to create a skull using our READYGEL INX gelatin resin on the Readily3D system, adding some festive color to mark the holiday! To make it even more fun, our team came to work in costume, embracing the Halloween spirit together and celebrating the start of the long weekend. We wrapped up the day with a Halloween-themed toast, celebrating camaraderie and team spirit at BIO INX, where every day we strive to develop high-performance, reproducible resins for the future of biofabrication. ✨ Last week, our CEO, Jasper Van Hoorick had the honor of delivering the keynote lecture at the final of the Vlaamse PhD Cup! This national competition challenges PhD researchers to present their research in a 3-minute pitch aimed at a general audience, highlighting the importance of translating scientific insights beyond academic circles. 🎤 From 74 entries, 8 finalists across various disciplines presented their work in a 3-minute pitch, followed by a Q&A session with a professional jury (Lieven Vandenhaute, Katleen Bracke, Annick Gilles, Telidja Klai, and Bram Vanderborght). It was truly inspiring to see such a diverse range of research being celebrated. 👏 Congratulations to Liselore Loverix for winning the competition with her impactful research on ovarian cancer treatment. Kudos as well to Klaas Vander Linden for securing second place with his work on aorta aneurysms, and to Lore De Greve for her third-place prize for her research on literature reviews. At BIO INX, we firmly believe that advancing new technologies includes educating the general public on their significance. As our CEO, Jasper, is an alumnus of the 2021 edition of the PhD Cup, it was a privilege to return to this prestigious stage and share insights about the exciting field of 3D bioprinting.
