How to create a Glossary- At cApStAn, we strongly believe in the need to perform more “upstream” quality assurance work to reduce the need for “downstream” corrective action. The creation of glossaries is one such quality assurance work that is related to the preparation of a translation project. A glossary consists of a collection of terms that need to be translated consistently in order to ensure the validity and equivalence of a test or survey across multiple languages. Our team uses a combination of term extraction software and human expertise to compile a list of terms and expressions from the source-language documents. Our REVIEW of this year’s edition of the European Conference of the Association of Test Publishers (E-ATP) in Berlin, Germany. A short highlight: - A convention of pioneers, thought leaders and practitioners in assessment development and delivery - A keynote speech on the strategic significance of AI for education and formative assessment - Breakout sessions and demonstrations allowed us to keep our finger on the pulse of the testing industry - Two interactive panel sessions in which Steve and his peers enlightened receptive audiences (and frightened them a bit, too) - Solid networking on the sidelines - Berlin’s immensely rich culture and complex history - The focus was on opportunities rather than threats and on achievements rather than promises Thank you to everyone who attended.
