🚨 American car rental giant discloses data breach impacting customers personal information. 🚘 Avis is a subsidiary of Avis Budget Group, a leading global mobility solutions provider that also owns Zipcar, the world's leading car-sharing network. 🚨 SEA-TAC confirmed a cyberattack is likely behind the IT systems outage that disrupted reservation check-in systems and delayed flights over the weekend. 🛫 SEA-TAC is Seattle's primary international airport and the busiest in the Pacific Northwest region. The airport is a major hub for Alaska Airlines and Delta Air Line, servings 91 domestic, 28 international destinations and almost 51 million passengers in 2023. 🎭 An FBI spokesperson confirmed to The Seattle Times that they "are aware of the incident and working with partners to determine what happened," without disclosing any additional information.
