L'Airess Spreads its Wings We are thrilled to unveil our latest creation, L'Airess, a bold and uncompromising answer to the tote. Inspired by our iconic Avia Airess line of luggage from 1946, L'Airess is a celebration of contrasts and an embodiment of Delvaux’s adventurous spirit. L'Airess elevates the everyday tote to sublime heights with its aerodynamic design and playful perforations, sharing its inner workings while preserving its mystery. Its unexpected lightness and rigorous architecture pay homage to the featherlight internal metal frame of the Avia Airess suitcase, now reimagined in leather. Experience the sublime elegance and innovative craft of Delvaux with L'Airess, ready to take off into your summer wardrobe. Whether worn with its wings spread or fully closed, on the shoulder or by its D-shaped handle, L'Airess is as trustworthy as it is versatile. Delvaux presents: Mutualism, a creative exchange with the artist Kasper Bosmans. For 2024 Delvaux continues its long tradition of discovering and nurturing artistic talent by initiating a dialogue with Belgian artist Kasper Bosmans to create a new shared mythology and a series of boundary-breaking and profoundly meaningful works together. The unexpected partnership generates an oeuvre totale in a vibrant exchange that blurs the boundaries between product and art, fluidity and structure, technique and inspiration to create instant objets du désir that embody the shared values of two separate yet deeply connected creative entities. Coming together to explore identity and Belgium’s own rich mythological history, 10 utterly unique pieces make up the collection. Using the most extreme savoir-faire, it tells a story of ancient truths and the power of imagination. #Delvaux

La Maison Delvaux presents “Savoirs & Savoir-faire“ – Autumn Winter 2024 Collection   At the very core of Delvaux’s history is an uncompromising devotion to savoirs and savoir-faire. Hard-earned wisdom translated into the practical yet extraordinary expertise of artisanal leather-making craft that began in Brussels in 1829. The height of the Industrial Revolution, the 19th century was also the cradle of luxury, a time when the advent of accessible travel began opening the world. With it came the demand for new designs and an increasingly liberated life, paving the way for women to play an increasingly central role in society. Ever the pioneer, Delvaux launched the first patent for a women’s fine leather handbag in 1908 – aptly named “Princesse” – inventing the modern handbag as we know it.   Les Savoirs et Savoir-Faire “Our philosophy is the constant dialogue between legacy and design, art and technique, to invent a meaningful future,” says Delvaux’s CEO, Jean-Marc Loubier. “We also love pushing boundaries in the company of other outstanding individuals to pave the way to an unexpected harmony. The concept of this presentation is a live departure using different savoirs, savoir-faire and identities, grounded in the curiosity of research, the willingness to share and the pleasure to find the exceptional in every day.”   Les Compagnons “As such, Delvaux has gathered a host of exceptional individuals to complement the dynamics of its design studio to tell a story of shared values and powerful transmission, presented live throughout the week.” The dynamics of Delvaux’s design studio and the discipline of Delvaux’s own artisans will be enriched by the Van der Kelen School’s trompe l’oeil mastery, held together by Jack Flanagan’s harmonious set design, and given a pulse by Frederic Sanchez’ hypnotic sound design. On a separate floor, the rarified eye of gallerist Patrick Fourtin brings to life an utterly original selection of museum-quality furniture and artworks to create a sublime respite for guests to feel at home.   L’Arsenal Delvaux transports the magic and mastery of the Arsenal, its Brussels headquarters and atelier, to Paris, creating an immersive bruxellois universe within a Parisian hôtel particulier. The space is transformed, its entrance reimagined as the Arsenal’s distinctive glass and metal conservatory with its light-filled, skyward vistas rendered exquisitely by Van der Kelen, the oldest remaining school (founded in1882) devoted exclusively to the technique of hand-painted trompe l’oeil.   With these exceptional designs and companions, Delvaux lionises the art of craft and transcends the contemporary standard of luxury. #Delvaux #SavoiretSavoirFaire

Delvaux introduces the Léonce A new family of bags inspired by a true story of Belgian tradition, family heirlooms and the maison’s exacting savoir-faire passed from one generation of Delvaux women to another. It began with a sentimental gift. An heirloom bequeathed from grandmother to granddaughter, two generations of Belgian women raised in the tradition of building a cherished collection of Delvaux and keeping it to pass on. Léonce was an artist, a painter known for getting carried away in her work, losing track of time. When she was rushing out the door to a soiree, she stashed her paintbrushes in her favourite Delvaux bag, an envelope clutch, slim and elegant. Her granddaughter Julie discovered the colorful paint splotches on the lining when Léonce’s bag was passed down to her. Her grandmother had reserved this particular style for Julie, who shared an affinity for craftsmanship and Belgian savoir-faire. So much so, she went to work for Delvaux. It is with great pleasure and pride that Delvaux introduces the Léonce family, inspired by its namesake’s vintage silhouette. Its distinctive, slender rectangular shape is unlike anything else in the Delvaux archives. Redolent with personal history and emotion, the style immediately captured the curiosity and imagination of Delvaux’s creative team. Renewing the contemporary grace and relevance of Léonce’s original heirloom was the result of the painstaking craftsmanship of Delvaux’s artisans. The new silhouette is defined by an envelope pochette accented with its own signature D-shaped brass buckle, evocative of a modernist, Seventies bourgeois attitude. The shape anchors the greater collection, including a shoulder bag in two sizes and a crossbody style. Crafted in Opera Calf, the Léonce applies one of the rarest and most precious leathers in Delvaux’s repertoire to an inherently relaxed silhouette, elevating it to the extraordinary. A design of exquisite contrasts, it stands as an example of the delicate equilibrium between Delvaux’s uncompromising heritage and innovation. The Léonce is an expression of the Maison’s unorthodox approach to modern luxury, one that values permanence and deliberation over the gratuitous. An eloquent ode to legacy and style with purpose, we think it would have made Léonce proud. Discover Léonce on Delvaux.com #Delvaux

Thinking big for 2024 La maison would like to wish you all the best for this upcoming year by introducing a brand new design, based on one of our emblematics. The Tempête, one of Delvaux’s most recognizable silhouettes since its introduction to the collection in 1967, is reimagined in its largest, most voluminous form, the Tempête XL. A study in contrasts and complimentary design elements, the new silhouette recasts the bag’s minimalist rigour and architectural shape, defined by the discreet yet assertive metal teeth, in supple, expansive volume. The Tempete XL introduces an expansive, supple new size to an iconic shape. Let us inspire you on Delvaux.com
