🎉 We are pleased to announce that ERG Corporate University (ERG CU) has successfully completed EFMD’s LIFT Learning Impact Certification. Launched in February 2024, the EFMD Learning Impact for Today and Tomorrow (LIFT) certification was developed with input from over 30 organisations, including CLIP-accredited learning functions and EQUIS-accredited business schools. LIFT enables learning functions to assess and enhance their impact on learners, organisations, and society. This external certification validates how effectively a learning function aligns with industry best practices and drives value through strategic stakeholder engagement. "Congratulations to ERG Corporate University on their certification," commented Steven Smith, Senior Advisor, Corporate Services and LIFT Lead, EFMD Global. "The peer review team was highly impressed by ERG CU’s structured and disciplined approach to impact, which is both robust and deeply aligned with ERG’s strategic ambitions and transformation pillars. Their business- and human-centric approach, coupled with a strong learning impact mindset, ensures that stakeholders derive real value from their interventions. ERG CU has demonstrated outstanding alignment with ERG’s business goals, backed by strong governance and the ability to design, build, and implement learning solutions that create tangible impact for both the business and its learners." 📗 Learn more about ERG CU's LIFT Certification: ╰┈➤bit.ly/LIFT-ERG 📗 Learn more about LIFT: ╰┈➤bit.ly/EFMD__LIFT Valentina Satarova, Aizhan Bazarbayeva, Martin Moehrle, PhD, Shanshan Ge 葛姗姗, Florence Grégoire, Natálie Altınçizme, Mishell Armas #EFMDLIFT #EFMDCorporateServices #CorporateUniversities #LearningImpact #LearningAndDevelopment

👥 Professor Laura Empson, Professor in the Management of Professional Service Firms at Bayes Business School and Professor of Leadership and Organisation at Copenhagen Business School, challenges the transactional approach to research impact in business schools, advocating for relational engagement with practitioners. Despite institutional resistance, she built long-term partnerships, enhancing both academic rigour and real-world application. Empson’s work demonstrates that sustained engagement improves both scholarship and its influence, calling on business schools to integrate impact into their mission rather than treating it as a funding-driven metric. 👉 In the Global Focus Magazine research issue, "Women In and Beyond Business Schools," Empson underscores that impact should not be an afterthought but embedded into academic priorities.
